lol
-
only a 6 month ban at least he didn't get Jon Littled
-
Just another cheating scumbag who had a good run in the big games then lost it all. He thinks to much about what players think of him to play a lower limit becasue he cares about what players think lol.
-
Its amazing he can't admit that he was stealing EV from his oppononets putting them at a distinct disadvantage hiding his identity. Here I am paying cardrunners hoping to build up enough of a rolll and skill to at one point play in the games the owner is fleecing. 25k is about 1 buyin for months of fleecing, seems fair. And he only came out with this because 2+2 exposed him - this wasn't heart fealt - its damage control after brian got caught cheating other players out of their money....nothing else.
-
must have been at work and missed the original post...can someone link me to it please.
-
Erm, so... i get it, he played under a couple other accounts, to avoid the embarassment of playing lower.
Ya, he broke the rules, but atleast he wasnt colluding or playing two accounts.
I don't see what the huge outrage is, many of the pros have multiple accounts.
The complainers should only be the ones that were playing against him in these games, and had their reads off not knowing it was him. Not the guys playing .01/.02 calling him a cheater. -
when a poker site has a tourney a player should get a random number and keep that number till the tourney is over. No names to worry about, no data mining, nothing to apologize for - you know what i'm saying?
-
If this ever happened there would be people with 10 accounts in each tourney and nobody would have a clue because they would simply be a number. Screen names are very important. Its your identity. People arent in live tournies with bags over their face so you cant see who it is.

Maybe its just me, but everytime I hear about a big named player doing this, it just makes me question whether all of the success they had was really them on one account or if they were cheating the whole time. Not sure why he only gets a 6 month ban, when somebody like Imper1um simply played on another account (didnt have multiple himself) and gets lifetime banned. Its nice they punish these people, but the punishment should be the same for everyone. -
One number per IP address or computer. People already can play multiple accounts under different screen names. At least a random # would keep people from creating new accounts to disguise themsleves, sort of cutting down on the problem.

This. I can't believe this thread has so few replies, I thought people would be interested in this. I mean I can't believe that someone would be so insecure that he didn't want people to know that he was "only" playing 50/100 PLO.

but if everyone gets assigned a random name or something every tourny...u never know who ur playing against and its like every one is a multi accounter because you can never have any background information on a player and would have no idea if its a total idiot uve played before or if its a top ranked pro behind the random name...the problem isnt having multi accounts its having an advantage over the others your playing as they dont know you but you know them
-
maybe as a compromise, you could randomize your nickname for the tourney, but afterward it would say like:

that way datamining would still work and you could still make an effort to identify multiaccounters -
They'll still 4-bet you all-in...

Not surprised.. Everyone does it.. It doesnt stop it never will. Its a non issue because there isnt a thing anyone can do about it.
-
wasn't this a common practice for him to get action before the whole tos biz? like 06ish
-
I think the most of the high cash game player are multiaccounter
-

I agree, F Datamining. Play F'ing poker.
Random number each time you sit at a table. If you are in a MTT, the number stays the same the whole tourney and you can take notes on the player like normal.
I think all the tracker shit should be banned anyway. I know people love to show there stats so they can say how much better than you they are.
RANDOM NUMBERS!
I wouldn't know if I'm playing Annette or just a random poor player, and I like that.
