JohnP_7: i got lucky but he shouldn't have checked the flop
JohnP_7 lol all you want, when you check you leave no excuses
Even though it may not have been the best option, is the check on the flop really such a terrible play?
Here's what I though
I made such a small raise PF because I wanted to scare the limper away, but not the raiser, which worked. Then when the flop came rainbow J high, i thought it was safe to check, I didnt think he had a set of jacks or else he wouldve raised more PF, he had been pretty tight up until now. He coulda had a set of 5's or 4's, but I would think he would just call with one caller before him. When the 2nd 4 came, I had him on AJ all the way. oh well.
any opinions on my resoning -
I wouldn't have put him on AJ, as he probably would have bet the flop.
I would have put him on a hand that didn't beat yours, whatever that was. Tough one that he hits, but you get it all the middle as a big fave for a big pot - so that's all you can ask for.
