I guess I put him on Q or K w/ a high kicker. Could I get someone to go through the thought process that should have made me either win this hand or pull out while I still could?
  2. you couldnt have played this hand any better, you just got ul.
your not putting him on queens cuz he didnt 3bet you pre,
secondly if he raises you on this particular flop i guess theres a chance
that MAYBE he has a set or twopair, given that he knows ur range could be
aces ak or kq so taking that into consideration you can make a sick fold
.. personally i wouldnt fold in this spot here just because he could have a weaker king and
be trying to raise me out of the pot..
  3. Marx couldn't 3bet preflop because he was the initial raiser. OP could have 3bet preflop and didn't which I think was your mistake. I don't like flatting here. If villian is aggro and doesn't fold much preflop why not build a big pot with the nuts preflop? You can make an arguement on flatting here and extracting value post flop from your aggro opponent but personally I like 3betting here.
  4. I agree with 3 betting preflop but I think this hand ends the same way even if you do 3 bet, unless you are discipline enough / have a sick read to think that he called the 3 bet with KK or QQ and not AK or AQ
  5. Yeah for sure unlucky for OP villian flopped a set
  6. Ok, so the I gather the 3 bet would have been a good move (even though I doubt he's folding Queens, villian would most prob shove all in).

There's just one thing I hate with Aces (and with Kings btw); it's when the whole table folds pre flop even when you just called the BB or made a min-raise...damn that gets on my nerves during big MTT's when I drastically need to be building up my stack. I guess that's why I flat called his pre-flop raise...

    .

This is obviously what you want.
  8. oops my bad i meant to say that hero should 3bet pre and obv villain could shove which is what we
want, we want to get action from worst sooooo....
if villain shoves his queens to your 3bet (thats if you 3betpre) then that is the correct play,
results are irrelevant. you got it in as a huge favorite , what more can you ask for?
    you just got ul
