which is better for ftops tickets? buying it from ironman store with medals or FTP store with FTP points

EDIT- Like for example for the 129$ FTOPs tomorrow, it cost 635 medals or 25900 points, but u can buy 100,000 points for 2000 medals so it works out to roughly 135 medals less when u buy it at the ftp point store? -
If you have rakeback using your iron man medals doesn't effect it. If you use points and you have rakeback you take the hit for how many points you spend.

yea i do have rakeback... so how will my MGR get hit? .005 per point or the value of the ticket? like for 129 ticket u get docked for 27% of 129 or (.005*25900)

Save your points until you can purchase a car or go busto (whichever comes first).

The following calculation is used to establish each player’s net revenue:
Net Revenue = (Rake + Juice) - Bonus - Player Added Fees - Fraud - Used Points
These terms are defined as follows:
Rake: Ring-game rake
Juice: Tournament fees (In a $10 + $1 Sit & Go, the $1 tournament fee is the juice)
Deduction types:
Bonus: Any portion of a Full Tilt Poker bonus, such as a deposit bonus
Player Added: If you play in a guarantee tournament that doesn't meet the guarantee based on the number of participants, Full Tilt Poker covers the remaining cost and divides the amount of overlay by the number of participants in the tournament
Fees: Full Tilt Poker shares the cost incurred by some payment processors for depositing or withdrawing on the site with its Affiliates; while players aren’t charged for these fees, they are deducted from net revenue
Fraud: Charge backs from credit cards are deducted from net revenue
Used Points: Every time Full Tilt Points are used in the Full Tilt Store or as tournament buy-ins, $0.005 per point is deducted from net revenue
Iron man: While Full Tilt Poker doesn’t make deductions for most Iron Man store purchases, if a player purchases and earns a bonus, purchases Full Tilt Points or tournament tokens and uses them, the standard deductions apply

Use Ironman Medals if you can plan ahead. If the tourney is starting in an hour or less, be safe and use points, since sometimes the Ironman Store can take long to process the transaction, while the points store is instant. I am stuck with a $109 FTOPS ticket because of this that I purchased during the MSOP, and the only $109 FTOPS events now are rebuys that I would rather not play.

Also, make sure you see what tickets it is used for. A $216 FTOPS tourney can use a 750k ticket, a Step 6 or 7 (not sure which) ticket, and an FTOPS ticket, but these vary greatly in price, so make sure you buy the cheapest one.
