Cake had an issue this am with their servers. I was deep in a tourney. Being a new player there and just getting back into online play I was not sure how they would handle the issue. Well, they did the right thing and paused all tournies.
A lot of other sites of this size would blotch this.
Great work CAKE POKER! -
I've never done well on CAKE but i have to say their customer service and operation is top class. They're always quick to repsond to emails and i've had buy-ins refunded a couple of times after some strange goings on (glitches and dodgy players). If only I could win some money there.

I'll respectfully disagree. One reason I think it is best not to pause a tourney is that many people set aside shedules for playing tournaments. A server goes down, tourney gets paused, and many people have simply given up on waiting for play to resume or no longer have time, and are unable to complete the tournament.

worked out for you this time, but what if you were at the FT when htis had happend and had to leave for work and couldn't wait around -
agree. there it still hasnt started back. I think they should do a chip chop
Im really just glad they responded and didnt just let it run. Granted, i havent played much in the last year or two, but there were sites (UB) in the old days that would fk you -
Their customer service is a+++ too bad they make you jump thru hoops to cash out!

then why were you playing a tourney that would even come close to you having to leave in the first place??

oh and btw the customer service is like no other. I am shocked every time i send an email to support i actually get a response that isnt loaded with BS and its usually almost instant -
Yea Cake Poker's email support is better than stars... and that's saying ALOT. If not for the cashout issues and the software glitches, this site would be the best one on the internet. There's a ton of fish always playing because the network has casino and sports betting. And none of the pros will play there because of the issues.

obv. you're not familiar with a 6 hour+ crash

Cake actually pays rakeback on everything you play, including tourneys. This is the case with most sites that offer rakeback these days, with a couple exceptions. UB, AP, Full Tilt, Cake, Carbon, and poker nordica (the main sites US players play on for rakeback) all pay rakeback on tournaments.
