i have a huge thing im currently writing up and figuring out how/where to post it, ill give run down and maybe i can get some insight here on what to do/post because im still furious about this even tho its settled but they did NOTHING right in whole situation imo

i backed a player who is a very good friend for years and trust me completely and initially sent him $ a few months ago, he did well and ran it up quite a bit from the initial deposit, ive known him for years and always trusted him, and we agreed id get the money transferred to fulltilt

so i was ready to do it and next thing i know my horse tells me his sister was in a car accident, so i waited to the next day and asked him whats going on hows everything and for him to transfer me the money when he gets a moment, waited a while and he never responded, when he did he told me he was flying to colorado because his grandma got real sick and his phone was about to die....again tho no response in regards to him transferring me the funds to move to the new poker site

so i finally asked him for his password/log in (never thought id need it because ive known him for years and trusted him 100%) and he kept avoiding it basically i talked to him probably twice in 2 or 3 weeks with no success to getting the money, i thought all hope was lost

finally he messages me over facebook and tells me the password and log-in info and has me do it, so i log on and swap the money over to my account and next thing i know he starts going wild thinking i stole all the money (well LOL because the plan was for me to take it all and get it to FTP because cake is fucking terrible and wouldnt let us cash out)

i said to him to calm down and once he got back from colorado that we would square up and id put him on ftp--so after the money is in my account, i wake up the next morning and my account is locked to my surprise

i email cake and they say that "xxxx" never authorized the transaction so they closed my account and sent him the money back

they asked me for proof that the kid messaged me with his log-in and pw to do this transfer, so of course no problem I SHOWED THEM SCREEN SHOTS OF MY FACEBOOK MESSAGES WITH HIM TELLING ME HIS INFO AND THE TIME FRAME MATCHED BEFORE THE TRANSFER BY 4 MINUTES ON THE SAME DAY

after multiple emails back and forth they say "sorry to say the case is closed the player "xxxx" told us he has no idea who you are and has nothing to do with you"

meanwhile i talked with the kid im backing and he told me he emailed cake to unlock my account and get shit squared up the kid was just worried about the whole situation, everything was legit and he was in colorado and his sister was in a car accident...

and 2 days later i get my account open and the money swapped and everythings all good and cake has yet to email me to inform me my account is open until i emailed them asking them what is going on and they acted like nothing was wrong

SO HERES MY PROBLEM WITH THOSE JOKE OF A SITE

i cant count on both my hands how many times ive logged in at a friends house to transfer money or friends have come over to log in and either played mtts or swapped money during play etc etc

what cake did was SO SO WRONG, no? they locked my account, seized the funds back to the original sender and refused to lock his account to work things out, yeah it was shady of my friend to say he didnt know me, but i mean i sent him a lot of money in the beginning of our stake agreement, so OBVIOUSLY HE KNOWS ME and for cake to say that is just ignorant as all hell on their part

"hypothetical situation"---my friend comes over and says hey can i get $500 on stars for $500 on ftp, obviously he logs in sends me 500 and i ship him 500 than, we go on play a little and what not and he leaves, goes home and sends pokerstars an email saying he never sent me the 500 or authorized the transfer....think pokerstars is going to just lock my account and ship him 500 and now im out 500 cuz i sent it to him on ftp

right?????? god it pisses me off so much, and the amount was a LOT more than this on cake, so it wasnt a petty situation at all, it was a lot of money for both of us and the fact that cake handled the situation so shitty made me get all my money out and tell my friends the situation, but i want the poker community to know this

SO should i post the situation, along with cake emails ive saved for proof???

-kid ran it up very nicely and got quiet on me once we agreed to swap it over to another poker site

-kid gave me password/log-in info with permission to swap it because he was out of state attending to family emergency

-cake freezes my acct when kid panics because i took all the $ and he thought i was leaving him a small cut of the profit that we were splitting an puttin rest on ftp

-he emails cake saying he didnt authorize and doesnt know me

-cake closes my account saying the case is closed and they send the money back to the kid

-i show cake screen shots when they ask for it and am ignored, and after a long time kid emails cake to unlock my account and tell me wat is going on, cake has still yet to do so

in short....STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM CAKE they are a joke....

Cake is pretty much famed on this site for being the "Triple Crown topper" after shipping stars and ftp no? They should stick around just for that imo.

From Cake's perspective, they have the account owner saying they don't know you, and has no idea how you got his information. Your story is good (and it sounds truthful), but if I'm cake, it's an ugly spot. I think they did the right thing here in sending the money back to him. They don't know that you aren't a thief.

Your beef here isn't with Cake, it's with your horse. Get your money from him, and then drop him.
