I play mainly 6-max cash games and don't put in a lot of tourney volume.
Had a spot last nite in a $5 KO on Full Tilt that I thought you guys could advise me on. Seems standard, but wanted to double check.
Opponent in the hand is running 31/26 after 16 hands, so he's been pretty active. I play a typical TAG style and I don't think he had seen me do much other than possibly raise and take down the blinds once or twice.
The following hand goes down w/ 174 peeps left. I'm around 100th ATM and it pays top 108. Winning the hand would give me a top 20 stack.

I'm not really concerned with the results of the hand, but is this a spot where you either shit or get off the pot? I possibly fold if the opponent is a little tighter, considering he was UTG, but I just couldn't give him credit for a premium hand with his stat line. My initial thoughts are that he never has air here, but could go crazy with as little as 66+ or AJ+. Do you get it in here and hope for the best or fold and try to make something happen w/ ~15 BB's left? -
Personally, I think your 3-bet was the initial mistake. AK is a drawing hand, not to mention you were off suit
However, if you do choose to 3 bet here, you have to insta-fold to the 4 bet from early position.
Next time try flatting from the button with AK. True poker is played postflop not preflop. If you want to play nothing but preflop poker with a hand like this, maybe your should take up craps.

Your M=11 to start the hand and you have AK. The only real question is how do you get your chips in the middle so you can double up. I like the 3bet call rather than a straight jam although either works. The 3bet jam looks like AK 100% of the time and the smaller 3bet might get AQ to stack off. Of course you call the 4bet as the pot is offering 31% break even pot odds and you have at least 42% equity.

I like the 3-bet/call line and the 3-bet size. With M=11 when you put in > 1/3 of your stack you are commited and the 3-bet size lets you call correctly for any pair KK-. I'm good with the shove too.
my 2 cents -
like the other dude said, with an M of 11 it is not if or how its is when and where can I get it in. I disagree with the dude on the pf post flop comment, if he shows you 99 here are you not gonna call? The comment of not suited should clear up and questions of his mtt knowledge, the 4% add of suited shouldn't make a fking difference, jam it and hold on!!

Thanks for the input everyone!
