    Kyner has requested TIME

    ???

4th hand, no read on the guy. I tried to DB him but I was just out of the shower and didn't have time.

  2. this early i think u can lay it down, he might have gotten lucky on u with 2 pair or trips or even a straight
  3. i think this is a pretty standard lay down. There are way to many hands that beat you right now and you dont have much $ invested in the pot. Plus this is a DS tourney so I think you have plenty of time wait for a better spot to get chips.

I think the biggest mistake you made is raising w/ AJ off UTG+1 with UTG limping. Your almost certainly gonna have to play AJ off OOP and the blinds are to small right now to be raising w/ that hand in that EP.

Anyway, lots of luck in the future
  4. I call.

  5. Yeah, I need to stop doing that. I like doing it from the button, but that's obviously a lot different.

I let the hand go, it felt like two pair. He's a maniac if he plays a set that fast.

My patience paid off, up to 7100 now after getting it all in on an open-ended straight draw and flush draw when the guy had a pair of tens with a Queen kicker.

  6. He wants this pot and wants it right now. He is protecting a weaker Jack and the str8 is now scaring him. If he had trips or a st8 he is smooth calling or reraising, not trying to drive you out of the pot. J10+.

    Call
  7. very nice sir, gl
  8. I figured the only hands I'm beating is J-10 through K-J. In these $26 tourneys I've seen people limp-call with a wide range of hands. I've gone broke here against two pair many times.

Had I got the DB to come up faster, I probably would have called though. After the hand, he said he had nothing. He could have been angling though.

Thanks for your response MonkeyCowboy. I loved your satty article and respect your game.
