Either hes protecting a flopped straight from a flush getting drawn out, or hes semi bluffing with AcXc?

I'd like to think I'd lay that one down. It's tempting to think the guy is on a flush draw or a bluff, but since I know nothing about that player other than that he was unremarkable, I'd wait for a better spot. But it's close, if you had 5000 less chips I think you'd have to call.
Hope you went into this hand in a good mood, this sort of thing always eats at me if I am having a rough night. -
Did you scope/db him? Look at the last 20 hands? He completed from the BB and now he is check/raising all in here. Is he a reg? does he play a lot? what stakes? profitable/losing player? Sure it is one pair but man how many times have you seen the draw type of hands shove in these spots? Sick spot but too many draws to just fold that easy.

Hell of a tough spot, especially in this trny... I think theres a very good chance hes on some sort of big draw, like A10cc or something of that nature. I also think it's a possibility he has 99 or KJ by how you described him. KQ maybe, but I think more likely you're up against a big draw.
I slightly lean towards call, might be a leak in my game.. I'm like 60/40 call/fold -
wow, thats a pretty interesting shout. i suppose betting here does not get a fold from a lot of hands, fair enough value from weak draws (J10 etc), but it does leave you vulnerable to spots like this. I would definately raise TPTK without blinking, but the check is quite an interesting idea. As played, you are beaten by K9, J9 and QT, which are all pretty firmly in his SB completing range (maybe even 99 aswel). I think this is a very tough fold, but you still have plenty chips and don't want to find yourself with 5 outs or worse for such a huge pot.
EDIT: with another player still to act behind aswel, think this has to be folded
