Called a Donk?

    So after this hand I was called a donk. I can't find where I was donking. I limped in late position with A5 suited, and called a quarter stack bet with 15 outs. Can someone point out where I donked it up?

    I think I'd have reraised allin on that flop when it came back around to you (instead of calling the $1.08) ... but other than that, I don't see what the big deal is. If this botherts you, I advise turning chat off. People will call you all sorts of stupid things for no reason other than that they are upset that they lost.

    Was it Senor "Open Limp UTG+1 w/ K9o" Jose calling you a donk? Clearly he's just trying to distract people from considering his bad play.

    And if it was that Joe guy calling you a donk... wtf was he raising on the flop with, but folding on the turn? QcTc?

    It was Joey. He called me a donk and said he made the laydown of a lifetime. It doesn't matter. I tried to explain to him that I'm pretty fucking positive I played that right, he wouldn't buy it, so I blocked him from chat and labeled him as a "Sore-Loser" in my notes. Lol.

    Look at the limits... anytime one of these players loses a pot they think the other must be a donkey. A pair and a nut flush draw on the flop is a monster cash game hand.

    I make the same "donkey play" as you as would most others.

    Ha! Yeah, he's just mad that you played right and he made the wrong read. I don't know what he could have had, if he laid down anything that would have beaten A5 then he's a moron and if he's calling laying down 44 a "laydown of a lifetime" then he's also a moron. Really, if he had anything capable of being called that, he should have called on the turn getting those huge odds.

    When they go off in Life Tilt in the chat box, put them on your buddy list. Look them up every time you play.

    You've got 14 outs and it's not great pot odds but you are drawing to the nuts flush, and will probably get some implied odds pay-off from any >K< if you hit the >5<.

    Just smile and stack his chips. Don't go on tilt because they call you a name. It usually means they knew they were beat but had to keep you honest.

    I'd have played the same way, and wouldn't have blinked twice at the insult. I'd smile and wait for him to get it in on me bad next time. Exploit tilting players is +EV
