  1. she was shoving a lot when short (she came back from 600 in chips) but this overshove was unusual for her.

    what now?

  2. Even though you are the shortest stack, I would def fold here and wait for a better spot. Keep picking up blinds and floating waiting for a better situation. If the other 3 are crazy aggressive and you see yourself just blinding away and not being able to pick up blinds, then I would go for it.

It is all situational though, all tables are different. You have 12 BB and you are prob a coin-flip at best. But it is pretty obvi that this player does not want a call, but 66 doesnt seem too favorable. Just my thoughts...

How did the hand turn out???
  3. i ended up folding. i couldnt see what she would do that (bet such a large amount) with. if she does it with 22-55 i guess im happy if i call, but i feel she had something like AK-AJ or 88-1010. i should mention that i shoved 5 out of 8 hands directly before her shove (she came back from 668 in chips 17 hands before i went on my shove spree), so i dont know if all my shoves caused her to do that. my hands that i shoved were K10, A4, 66, 55, 55. then the second hand after i fold 66 to her i get 33 on the button with 10bbs. i shove. A9 calls. gg. esquire ended up winning the tourney after being so short.

  4. Oh dear, don't steal from the shortstack! She's inclined to call with very wide range and if you get called you're probably in bad shape.

  5. why am i probably in bad shape if shes calling with a wide range? am i not 60/40 most of the time? what about applying pressure? should i simply fold pf? or should i limp and fold to a shove?

  6. I'd fold preflop and wait for a better spot, J-high is too little for me.

  7. I dont know about this shove here odiggitydog. You are getting the button next hand and still have enough chips to work with and wait for a better spot. It is tough to steal from the short stack in a blind vs. blind situation here.

You are not going to get much credit for a hand here and will prob be called with a wide range of hands. And there really is no reason to gamble with J 8 here. Just my thoughts...
  8. Wasup....First i would like to point out that about 5 hands before this play,I had 6-6 and she pushed from the button on my small blind...at the time i had 110,000 and and she had 28,000....i end up folding and the big blind called she had A-6 he had A-8...i dont know if my play was right but i would have wound up winning the hand and knocking her crazy butt out...Odiggity maybe you have the hand history on that hand to be more accurate this is just off memory..
    Right Play?
    Wrong Play?
