The big stack (opener) had been very active up to this point. I figured I was flipping with the shipper. I only have about 11 BBs....

6 handed with the CL mini raising UTG? absolutely never. You ran into the very top of CLs ridiculously huge range.
-
yes fold imo. your facing a utg raiser and a reship. what do you beat here. at very least your up against a 3 over combo ak and aq or Ak, QQ or aQ vs kq or aq vs qq obv not every time but come on pretty simple fold here. im guessing this was a turbo but no matter i still fold.
edit: didnt think stacks would be that shallow in a 11d rebuy -
i guess 10bigs is shallow enough for a ship here but i still dont like it at all you have absolutely ZERO fold equity and are up against the utg table chip leader.
-
Pokerchief: You're levelling, right?
No, I dont fold here. I'm getting it in and I'm VERY excited about it too! -
unfortunately my first post i wasnt i have been drinking and was on a roll. or downward spiral. my second post i noticed stack sizes tho and took back 50 to 70% of my first statement lol. me no post more tonight me thinks. yes i ship here. no i dont love it or marry it. sorta just a one night stand. might end up with a std
-
Fine Play.
Just UL six handed. -
LOL at ever folding.
-
you made the right play, cooler obv, but im jammin all day there....those are the kinda hands you have to win to win the tourny....you made it that far its not the time to sit back and wait for aa or kk, gotta do your work...utg is most likely a steal and the reship can be anything from 55+ imo...just my 2 cents
well played -
Seems to me that a number of players at this level will jam with a wide range, then get cute with the mini-raise holding KK/AA, even on a short stack-this has got to be the biggest tell in the world.
Without FE, I'm inclined to pass this. -
Ignore all the "fold" posts. It's 100% shove time in this spot.
-
..I dont remember everything about the hand and im sure stack sizes were different but didnt phil ivey fold jj at a 6,7,or 8 handed wsop main event final table to a single raiser..i know the guy in this thread has less big blinds than ivey did, but you can fold jj here..plus if he folds guy with a10 gets busted and he moves up in the money..and how much can you like jj in a 3 way pot..kinda easy fold..
-
edit..not easy fold..but makes sense to fold in this spot
-
Folding here would be bad unless you had some sick soul read
-
seems like youre only worried about elenitsa and that person had AT. never fold this. hey at least you got 5th and not 6th! take that small win.
-
Easy get it in tho.
-
Since when do you need FE with JJ, my head is going to explode, this thread is a level right?
-
yea and I'm pretty sure he was wrong, just like this guy woulda been if he folded. You're simply not going to find ANY better spots to acquire thechips that you'll need to win this tourney--get it in and be super fuckin cised about it.EDIT: were also gettin over 2-1 if we know UTG CL is calling (seems to be the consensus), you're not assigning a range that we aren't getting the right price to call against. That applies to pretty much any player, especially an active CL. LOL @ folding.
