can legal action be taken by poker players?

    I am sure that a few lawyers read this forum so i have a question for you:

    If this new legislation prevents people from playing online poker, what if all professional poker players come together and file a class action lawsuit saying that the government is denying our right to work, our means to making a living? Is there any precedent with something similar to this? what are the chances of something like this working?

    I think you have come up with a great idea, but drug dealers, hookers, etc tried this approach allready. Man I am bitter today.

    Can prostitutes sue the government (outside of Nevada) for not being able to work because its been deemed illegal? kkggthx

    can drug dealers do the same thing? it's the same in the governement's eyes at this point. :(

    Well if dealing drugs were legal to do live but illegal to do online I think the dealers may have a case.

    maybe equating poker as a game involving calculated risk by drawing a corollary to the stock market, instead of equating poker with sports betting
