  1. Im a micro nlhe player. .10-.25/.25-.50 and never a mtt over a $5 buy in for now. Trying this whole br mangement thing for a change. Anyway, i feel as im very behind the times becouse i do not have any of these programs i hear about (pokertracker, stove, holdem manger, poker office, indicater etc to mentio a few).
My question are what exactly do these programs do and how do they help?
Are these the programs with the stats beneath the player and saying whether they are a shark, fish, calling station etc?
    Are these programs accurate?
    Are they worth the money?
Which are the best investment if so?
Do they really help improve your game?
    Thank you for any responses!!!

My question are what exactly do these programs do and how do they help?
Are these the programs with the stats beneath the player and saying whether they are a shark, fish, calling station etc? NO
    Are these programs accurate? YES
Are they worth the money? YES!
Which are the best investment if so? PT3 (I HAVE) OR HOLDEM MANAGER (ALSO GOOD)
Do they really help improve your game? YES, IT GIVES YOU STATS OF UR OPPONENTS LIKE PFR, W$SD, VP$IP, ETC
    Thank you for any responses!!!

it is a very smart investment if ur br permits then yesdef worth every penny
  3. Poker Stove is free. It gives you odds vs ranges of hands. Download, use it, love it.

Pokertracker and HEM track the hand histories and display the record of the ones you have for the other players. For example you have played 100 hands with someone, it will say that, and then it will say the have entered the pot in 30 and raised in 26. This player is veryyyy active. You can download both for free for a month, I would try it out and see if it helps you. It has definitely been worth the money for me.
  4. 1. Tracking devices, provide your stats/villian stats, math, etc. Help you come to decisions.
    2. Label players based on their last 10 hands. Believe the # of hands can be adjusted.
    3. Accurate enough to be confident with the program.
    4. Yes
    5. Only used Indicator so I can't advise
    6. Be careful. Yes, they can improve your game but can also hurt your game if you don't read it properly.

My advice is to purchase a program but use it cautiously. Don't let your game become dependent on it.
  5. Best investment is poker stove. It's free and easy to use/understand... it runs hand simulations.
The tracking programs (HoldemManager, PokerTracker..etc) are great. One warning about them, they are big powerful programs good at fiiring out tonnes of numbers at you. There is def a learning curve to figuring out what they mean and which are useful to you why/when...etc. Don't expect to turn the program on and instantly be rakin in $.
  6. i am in a 60 day free trial of pokertracker 3 and LOVE it yes a lot to learn but once you get the nack for it its great
