.5/1 cash game
Edited By: nezbit Jul 6th, 2010 at 12:00 AM
my stack: $116
villian: $124
folds to him in cuttoff + 1 he limps in
i raise to $3 on button with 69clubs
flop A84, 1 club
he checks i bet $4
he calls
turn 2 clubs
he checks, i bet $10
he calls
river is T clubs
he checks, i bet $24
he thinks for most of his time then shoves in for around $80ish
you calling here everytime?
i put him on ace rag of clubs and called like that donk that i am.
sure enough he had ace rag of clubs...
My thinking is that he almost is never going to be pure bluffing here. I just dont see the point. I dont think he is ck shoving with just an ace or even a set.
Just curious to what your guys thinking would be on the river? I was actually folding, but then it was gonna kill me inside not to know what he had so i fuckin donked off and called.
edit: i mean i guess i was ahead of 87clubs or 45clubs
Reason: forgot -
raise more pre? LOL
its deepstacked poker whats the point of inflating the pot with a shitty hand? -
minraise pre, bet 1$ on flop, 1.25$ on turn and 1.5$ on river... its deepstackpoker no need to inflate the pot...and fold when he raises you dont have the nuts...
-
I think youv'e inflated the pot too much with 6c9c.

Its a reluctant call on the river.
Put it down to a cooler. -
lol at tourney players thinkin they have a clue about cash games
i guess thats why you guys stick to tourneys and not cash games right?
this hand was on bodog, and the cash game i was in was pretty soft
next time ill raise 6bb pre, then pot bet flop then pot bet turn, then put my last 20 in on river - "tourney way of life in cash games" -
I mean just delete your acc here, and bother people irl that had the misfortune of getting to know you

Is this how a deepstack cash pro plays AK: http://www.pokertableratings.com/han...365/6094205900
I do the same thing btw, but I also suck at poker.
Reason: I suck at poker -

Ya can't imagine why you'd want to inflate a pot when you're in position, or why youd want to increase your preflop fold equity when you have 9 high...lol honestly just delete your account. You have no clue what you're talking about and add nothing to this forum. You wanted advice and you got it...post this hand on 2+2, cardrunners, deucescracked w/e and you'll get the same responses. -
let me get this straight...
you want me to raise more pre then bet more on the flop?
how in the fuckin hell does that make any sense?
so you think i should just give him more money when im behind? wp guys -
Well, and im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, I suck at cash. But... you are in position so you can take advantage of that first off. Secondly if you raise you take control of the hand and obtain more fe on your cbet. you have a draw hand so flops should be easy to play for the most part. either you smash the flop or you have absolutely nothing. But dont over value top pair...

This is also a good hand to polarize your range with, but this is a concept I am still trying to understand, this may or may not be a good hand for that, we shall see. -
Ask yourself why you're raising in the first place...this isn't even a complicated concept. If you weren't being such a douche about the whole thing, I'm sure someone would even explain it to you so you can better yourself as a poker player. I'm done with this thread tho...best of luck man
-
im taking control of the pot in positon...thats why im raising in the first place
explain why in tourneys you dont raise 5-6 bb? hmmmmm.... tuff one huh LOLOLOLOL
well lets see i havent worked for 5 years now and play cash games for a living...wtf do i know about poker...must be a nub -
