Can you make a deal HU for a package?

    I got to HU last night in a APPT Sydney package on stars where the winner gets a 10k package and 2nd gets fuckall.
    I was thinking afterwards that i should've offered my opponent 5k to let me win it (we were even in chips at the time with 10 BBs each).
    Has anyone done this before? Is it even allowed? I know in the T&C it says you cant make deals but if the other guy sits out and i transfer him the cash, would this be considered an "official" deal and would stars allow it?

    nah u can't do that and u can't unregister also if u ship the live package. but i guess u planned to play the tourney as ur an aussie ya

    i mean if the guy steals you stars will do nothing, as dealing is not permitted.

    That means u would have to have 5k in your account to transfer. Noone has that much money in there account do they?

    why are you playing a satilite to chop it, doesnt make sense to register for a satty if your not trying to win it...

    If u already have a package and win another u can sell the 2nd one or transfer it to another player, but it must b a second package - first one is not transferable. U could look at a deal with him too but as one of the other posters said who has the $5K sitting in the account + do u want to trust a random to honour it. Additionally if the opponent does not have the package and wins he cannot transfer it to u unless he also already has an initial package.

    Saw a effed up situation where this happened at a live satty to this tourney last year.

    this X1000. You can try but he can easily sit back in as soon as he gets that transfer and tries to win.

    Are you sure about this? I didnt think u could transfer packages you just get the equivalent in T$

    Was the advice given for an ANZPT event in Sydney last year and I am aware of some other cases where u could arrange other options such as transfer the 2nd package to an alternative event or nominate another player (there are quite a few that fund their horses in the event this way). I think in the case of online satties u r correct - u get $T by default 4 the 2nd entry BUT I have heard there are options available (such as transfer of 2nd package). As u already know the primary package is not transferable. Suggest u just send an email to stars to b sure what they will or won't allow. There is also a difference if the satty is seat only or a package.
