  1. Im going to Quebec soon, and I was wondering where the best poker room/ tournys are in Quebec Casinos?
  2. lol @ going to canada. as if its a town
  3. theres actually two really nice casinos eh... make sure you go to the one in downtown canada...not the other one...the uptown canadian casino is more geared towards cash games ...play for 3 hours and the casino comps you some free poutine

  4. This has to be a level

But i agree with above poster that the casino in downtown Canada is much better than uptown
  5. Geographically, Canada's bigger than the U.S. It's a big freakin' place.
    Where in Canada?

  6. Don't go to a casino in Canada. If you get into the wrong person for too much money you're likely to get scalped by a native and/or fur trader.
  7. LOL @ you guys.

The Casino in Montreal is actually quite nice, except last time i was there like 5 years ago they didn't have player to player poker only dealer v player but I'm sure that's changed by now. Was too busy though, could barely even get a blackjack table, but I guess it was 2 days before New Years.

PS downtown Canada sucks, glad I live in uptown Canada aka poker prodigy central for the last few years: Waterloo.
  8. DO NOT GO TO THE CASINO DU LAC LEAMY (sp) in Hull, Quebec. i went there when i was 18 (gambling age is 18 in Quebec, 19 everywhere else in Canada) with my friend to play poker and it is like a bingo hall. all table games and slot machines, no poker room at all. the one in montreal is pretty renowned so google and see which is the good one and go there.

The drinking and gambling age is 18 in Alberta as well.

The last time I was there all the tables were electronic but its not so bad if you enjoy a fast game. Basically you get the best of online play in that its quick and you can see exactly how much your opponents have in chips, no dealers to tip etc. and live play since you are all sitting around the same table you can get reads off your opponents.

The tables are flat and roughly the same size as regular tables only there is a screen in the middle where the board cards appear. Each player has a small screen in front of them where their cards appear and when you put your hands over the cards they will flip up revealing what you are holding. There is also an option screen in front of each player.

I was told they were going to get regular tables as well and that they were supposed to be running by October but haven't been there to verify this.
  13. unless you know french dont go there, u wont understand whats going on.
  14. and Saskatchewan and Manitoba to name a couple of more...
  15. oh thats funny, guess canada will never get the respect from y'all neighbors to the south, but thats OK. Like you think, Eskimos and spear fisherman are the main population? We got some damn good poker players here, and if you took your head out of the sand you can see them.
