Can't finish the job, FT's hate me!

    man oh man im getting sick and tired of finishing 10-18 in MTT's for example last night around 30 people left in the tournment i just started to become card dead, the last thing you need in this part of the tourny!

    this is the same for many other MTT's ive played! any advice to get me to the final table in my next attempt? i guess you cant really do anything if you dont have the cards. even to steal u need some sort of a hand? yes / no?

    Get aggressive, and be willing to gamble. You don't necessarily need a great hand to steal with; just try and do it with position and against the opponents who are least likely to play back at you. And other than that, just try and get your money in with the best, luck is always going to be a part of making the FT's.

    ended up shoving with AJ os last night and getting 2 callers one AJs and 8j i lose to a runner runner flush!

    Yuckkkk..nothing you can do, get it in with best and pray!! Bubbled a tourney today, A10 to A2 on the river all in, but it happens...hope the advice helps a big, best of luck to you mate.

    had 23K blinds 2 and 4k so yeah had to shove and nothing until then shovable!

    It may be one of those things where you worry more about staying in than you do about winning. If that's the case, you're probably playing too tight, which is something you really can't do effectively when it gets down to those last two or three tables. You have to be more considerate of position and the playing style of the people around you, and that will result in a more aggressive style of play. And you'll have to embrace that to be able to break into those final tables.

    Since i last got a decent win in a mtt, these are my finishes in tourneys with a 1st prize of $5k plus.
    21st, 26th, 25th, 18th, 19th, 9th, 23rd, 13th, 9th, 14th, 14th, 27th.
    i feel your pain.
    some of these were $20k plus to the winner.
    some were bad beats.
    some were cold decks.
    some were brain dead plays.

    officialpokerrankings.com says i have finished in the top 10% of the field 17% of the time, and i have a -29% roi - in the last 3 months...
    there is nothing more frustrating than a stretch like this...
    i have studied my game, put my hand histories into pokerxfactor and rewatched alot of the above tournies, trying to find spots where i could have done things differently. Ofcoarse, i have noticed spots where i shouldve done things differently, but, overall, i think ive played to the best of my ability atleast 80% of the time...

    stretches like this happen, keep putting yourself in good situations and eventually good things will happen.

    thank god for sngs, otherwise id be broke right now.

    WHEN U HAVE LESS THAN 10BB ANYTHING is shovable you MUST PICK UP BLINDS from late postion u mist raise an unopened pot with a WIDE range of hands suited connnecters etc hand that you will be called with is also a wide range A rag etc KQ w 78 85 JT 64 etc u are only a 3 to 2 dog U must win some of these to win a tourney dont be a donk but stop being a nit also and u will find that u will get farther more often u have the same prob i do that is you dont want to lose!!!!! so u wait for a bigger hand to shove with WRONG playing NL poker is ALL about putting someone else to a chioce for all there chips most of these folks you are playing with FEEL THE EXCACT SAME WAY AS YOU im card dead ps hates me whay is that guy raising with crap all the time then he "sucks out with 64 vs AT why is he doing that because he /she WANTS TO WIN THATS WHY
