  1. This helped clear some things up for me as I was wondering about the laws and such and what the status of Internet gaming is as of right now. Good read.<A target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.cardplayer.com/magazine/article/15608">

  2. More people on this forum probably need to read this article.

In short, once the bill passed the house and all the opposition came forward, (the voices of reason) it was clear that nothing was going to happen anytime soon.
  3. Yea I agree it REALLY cleared things up for me. It's sort of a grey area for most people I'm sure.

  4. Well...I wouldn't say that's clear, P. I posted that article here on the forum after the bill passed in the house, in order to try and clear up the confusion. I think the one thing that's really clear is that the US is eventually going to do something, and if we want that something to be a good soemthing for us, we need to be involved.

  5. Agree Adam, probably a poor choice of words. I wasn't implying that we could all relax and ignore the potential threat. You are absolutely correct that we all need to be involved in helping to protect our game. My intent was really to help expose just how complicated this piece legislation is and that a quick resolution of any kind is unlikely, but certainly possible.

I missed the article myself when you posted it, but had done some other research on it and was very pleased to discover just how many large industries, other than gaming, were adversely affected by the bill in its current form. I completely agree that Congress will pass some type of legislation eventually and we need our voices to be heard.
