  1. with instructional video like this - very poor example of cash game play - he loses half his stack and reloads constant - is this the way to do it? http://www.cardplayer.com/tv/28418?channel_id=2
  2. Only top off your stack if you want to get paid off on your good hands.
  3. thin kabout it this way, he takes a beat, or a few. and like anyone he is sitting with his remaining chips. IMO and his, if you get your money in with the best, if you hit a huge hand, you want to make most profit possible, and extract the most amount of chips that you can with your huge hands. how can you do this sitting with 200 behind?
  4. the fact that he's down $200 from starting with $400 is my point. He makes some aggressive plays and overall performance is a LOSS. How is that good for instruction?

  5. 1. he is building a good image to win later on by being agressive early
    2. try not being result oriented and focus on correct decision making
-i have had many session where i drop multiple buy ins but end them happy with my play
-on the flip side i have winning session where i feel i played terrible
    3. you ALWAYS reload to the max if you are properly rolled and have any confidence in your game
    4. i dont really get the point of your post (unless you are new to poker)
  6. Mike,

You need to understand that poker is not about RESULTS, but about DECISIONS.

    good luck to you sir
  7. Yes definatly, you can play perfect poker and still lose. Its not about winning, I only ever tilt when I make decisions, never when I lose when im ahead. WHich is why playing correctly is most important.
  8. FouTight expressed it perfectly. Once you can come to grips with this concept the beats don't hurt nearly as much.
  9. CardRunners videos have from the beginning attempted to show in real time what poker players encounter at the tables. The reality is that you will lose as many as 40% or more of your cash game sessions. We dnn't hide that fact and not put up a video because a pro loses money. The point is the instruction given. The point is to teach good thinking and decision making skills so players can improve. Reloading constantly simply is an attempt to maximize your potential return if you feel that you have an edge in the game. If you don't feel you have an edge at your table, you should move on.
  10. I hope OP is joking.....seriously wtf
  11. Great stuff, its pointless when sites only show the videos that their pros win,we need to see how the REAL game plays, not the ones where pros catch cards every hand. Its so true that its not about winning the hand or session, but making the rite plays.
