I started steering away from tournaments and have recently started playing full ring cash games
currently im 9-12 tabling .25/.50
I have a good enough bankroll to sustain 0.5/1.0 but I dont want to move up until i have a good indication of how good I actually am at cash
how many hands should used as a good indication of how good I am at these?
and what should be my goal of BB/100 for full ring .25/.50
thanks! -
200k hands, 5BB/100 i'd say

50k hands is an ok ballpark. 100-200k a good indicator.
if over 200K hands i was making like 12BB/100 then I would think i was obv ready for the next stakes.... but if i was only at say 0.75BB/100 then i would think i wouldnt be ready for the next step up -
as someone who has put in volume at 50nl and 100nl playing a similar amount of tables (12 to 16), if your bb/100 is 2 or greater through 200k hands then you can definitely start taking shots at the next buyin level.
it seems smart to slowly increase the amount of tables for the higher level mixed with your old level until you are comfortable.
i would say if you are running at 5bb/100 thru 200k hands with 12tables+, you are officially crushing those stakes and are probably also running well. -
ok thanks for the help. exactly what i was looking for

mini-hijack:
without software, what's the simplest way to figure up your bb/100?
