So this hand took place on the 8th hand of my session. I have no reads at all on any of the players, other than their stack sizes. Of course that doesn't mean much either. Anyone with a big stack, could be a donkey who got lucky and anyone on a SS could be a solid player who got unlucky or a SS specialist. So, let's say I have no reads at all for the sake of the argument.

So, it's limped around to me in the SB and I have 76o. I hate letting limpers see the flop cheaply, but since I am in the SB and will be out of position the rest of the hand, I decide to just complete rather than raise and narrow it down. I could fold, but I don't think folding 76o in the SB for 1/2 a bet, with limpers in front of me is the correct play. I mean, 76o is a type of hand I want to play multi-way, so I can try to hit a big flop and take down a nice pot vs someone who possibly limped in with a big hand or makes a 2nd best hand on the flop. That being said, I complete the SB.

So, I hit the flop in a nice way by making top 2 pair. Unfortunately, the board is VERY scary. It is all spades and also 3 to a straight. I obviously need to find out where I am. I can do 1 of 2 things. I could A) check, looking for a check/raise or B) bet right out. There are definitly some people who would opt for A, but me personally, I prefer betting out. Both plays establish your hand well, but betting out allows you to get away from you hand cheaply, if you are raised. I decide to bet out .65$ into the 1$ pot, just under 3/4 of the pot. I bet that amount kind of in a probe bet way, but still for a little bit of value incase I am up against a hand like A7, w/As. I know the small bet does give a flush draw the right odds to chase, but like I said, I wanted to leave myself some outs.
No1CeltsFan bets $0.65
Long_hand calls $0.65
Timmy551 calls $0.65
iceman192001 raises to $25.30, and is all in
OK. So, now here is the tough decision. 2 players cold called my bet, then the player last to act, makes a HUGE all-in over bet. I mean he bets 25.30$ into the 2.95$ pot. This bet is screaming semi-bluff. The possible hands he could have are:
A) A7 or A6 w/As or A4 w/As. A7 and A6 are unluckly however, because I have 76, so A4 would be the most possible out of those three.
B) A5. That gives him an OE and the nut flush draw.
C) AsX. Just the As, which is the nut flush draw.
D) 777, 666, 444. His bets are in line for a set IMO. I mean his overbet could be him trying to push out the As and protect his hand. I would play a set in a similar way, but I wouldn't risk my entire stack either. I would probably raise to between 6-9$, which still gives my opponent the wrong odds to chase, but also allows me to get some money into the pot.
E) 58 or 35. This would give him the straight. IMO, these are the least likely hands he could have. I just don't see him limping in with either of these hands, even on the button.
F) XsXs. A smaller flush. Definitly a possibility. His bets would be in line for this type of hand also, for the same reasoning as I said if he had a set. To protect his hand.
G) Overpair. While this is definitly possible, I don't put him on this hand personally. I don't think he would limp behind with a big PP, esp on the button. I can't rule it out completely though either.
So, taking all of these thoughts into consideration. What do you do with your top 2 pair? Do you call or do you fold? Regardless of your answer, could you please tell me why you chose what you would do and what hand you put him on. Thanks.

the guy going all in could have 45 of spades or a hand like that. flush and straight draw. the pot just is not worth calling the 25$

8 hands in.. fold preflop.

The problem here is that if you call his all-in, you don't know what the 2 people behind you who flat-called your bet have. One of them could have a set or already have the flush, even the nut flush, hence, the flat-call/slowplay of your flop bet. Fold and wait for a better spot. If it was just you and the shover, I might call.

Agreed...ez fold. I think you should have bet the flop bigger though....your bet imo actually encouraged callers on draws cuz you sweetened the odds
