So, I took my first shot at moving to NL100 a month ago and ran terrible and also played like an imbecile (decided it was a good time to open up my 3 betting/4 betting etc) in my first 2 sessions leading to a $600 downswing and a move back to NL50.
I have built my roll back to my 40 buy in limit and moved back to NL100 earlier this week and have just approached it by just playing my game, and not making random adjustments to my game just for the sake of making an adjustment. After reviewing my sessions I'd say that I'm running about average at best card wise but I am winning way more bets (big blind $) per hand with my good hands. At NL50 it seems like people would just sit and wait for sets or better and would just play everything else super passive and weak.
My observations so far though is that the games at NL100 are actually a lot more profitable than they were at NL50. Obviously my 3500 -4000 hands sample is tiny but so far there have been WAAAAYYY more fish at the NL100 games than I saw at NL50, and eben the regs, (in general obviously, I'm sure some are very tough), will pay off hands a little bit more while still staying fairly predictable. The games are looser (in a good way), and there is much more potential for profit than there was at NL50 (which was basically a total nit fest).
Have any of you guys increased your bb/100 win rates after moving to NL100? And would you guys agree with this assesment of the differences bw the levels?
Obviously I could see things much differently after another 10,000 or 20,000 hands but so far I'm really liking the NL100 play. -
Anyone? going once..... going twice....
I would even love to get feedback from anyone who has felt this way when moving up at any stake. -
I can say that the difference between Nl100 and Nl200 is HUGE! And the difference between Nl200 and NL400 is even bigger.
I agree a lot with your assesments as I often feel I get paid off pretty light by a lot of regs at NL200.
Im a huge nit.
