  1. Does anyone else play both cash games and tournaments and find that if your making money in one, your losing in the other. I have been on a terrible tournament run, and I have been making up for it with the cash games. Now, all of the sudden, it's the total opposite. It's crazy how fked up poker is. I'm gonna look over my last couple thousand hands and see if I can find any major differences. Anyone experience this a lot?

  2. Contrary to common belief, online poker is not rigged.
  3. I run into the same problem, but i attribute it to the way im attacking that particular game. When im hot in tournaments, i take that same (usually) lag approach to the cash tables and find myself playing too many hands and gradually taking losses. But when im consistantly playing tighter, the cash tables are a slow positive grind while touraments are bubble after bubble.

  4. LOL i def have the problem, I play bodog so pokertracker isnt available so tracking is very hard. I use excell to keep track of my tourny entrys now/winnings cause DB doesnt pick up loses. If u play stars/tilt Pokertracker= must havve.
  5. I think you'll find the answer in the way the games are approached. Except for early in a MTT or sng, cash plays totally different. So when you have one mindset over the other, you can get a lil mixed up. ie
getting 10-1 w/22 in a cash game, you have the odds to see if you flop a set. But are you putting your tourny life on the line early w/22? prolly not.

I know you've prolly heard this before. But it rings true. You play certain ways in different games.
If you have 5 cash tables going and one mtt, you'll prolly play the mtt in a cash style.

    BUT.........
After playing mostly cash...Ya ever notice how your mtt reads improve when you go back to them for a while? Mainly because, in theory, you get better post flop I guess.

As for running hot/cold in them...just variance
  6. thanks for the responses, I have been playing a really LAG style in cash games which was working, then I all of the sudden didn't have the balls to do it anymore. I started to tighten up and I found myself to be in the tough situations and constantly being min raised and three bet. It's just good to know im not the only one!
