UTG ($400) by far tightest player at table
Hero ($1000) very active image
Button ($1000) LAG, very loose and competent.
UTG opens $12
Hero +1 (10di 10sp) calls $12
Button calls $12
Blinds fold
Flop 10sp 9di 7cl
UTG bets $28
Hero calls $28
Button Raises to $91
UTG calls $91
Hero raises to $291
Button calls $291
UTG tank folds
Turn Jdi
Hero?
$715 in pot - best option jam, bet/call, check/all-in? Button is very aggressive and I think he will turn all hands that don't have showdown value into bluffs but will check back hands w/ show down value and make the river difficult to play. -
I cant see the button player calling the $200 without either a made straight or a draw to a straight (likely with a pair and/or backdoor flush draw). I guess QJ makes sense as the only hand you can beat, but he cant think jacks can win at showdown so he will bet the turn if you check. Maybe Im overestimating the quality of hands here as I dont play a lot of 6-max and I suppose things can heat up rather quickly with thin holdings. I just think check-fold here, maybe hoping he checks behind to put a little concealer on a jack-high straight, giving you a chance to boat the river.

Edit: agree with poster below if you are ~$400. For some reason I misread that you also had a $1000 to start the hand. -
How deep are you first of all? Are you playing 400 or 1000. If your playing 400 you only have like 109 left and the pot is $715 so he is calling a jam on turn because hes getting 7-1 on a call. That being said, you might as well just check and let him put your last $109 in because you said he's likely to turn his hand into a turn bluff. If you had $400 to start hand i would of just 4bet jammed flop.
check fold getting 7-1 when you only have $109 left. seems kinda horrible to me.Originally Posted by boneralert

both button and i are 250-260bb's deep to start hand. -
I like a check call then because he prob isn't calling with worst and like you said you feel he will try to take away the pot on alot of turns.

I like a bet/call here. I would bet around $250 which allows the active villain fold equity and a chance to make a play at you.
