Chan POker $150K Gteed busted hand, advice?

    Playing the 150K Gteed last night on Chan poker and busted in 148 place with this hand. Can only do brief summary as can't get h history.

    Blinds are 200/400, position BB, chip stack 5033

    All fold round to SB who min raises my blind for the 5th or 6th consecutive time and is playing loose with some hands he has shown down prev. He has round 15k in chips.

    Decide to play back this time with A4os by re-raising all in.

    He called and flips 10 7os, and obv hits 2 pair on flop and i'm gone. Is it just me or is that a wild call there for a third of his stack with only 800 invested?

    i think you have to fight back at some point and as you have to put him on a wide range of hands i think you are good to go all in with the ace high - just what was he thinking to make the call there - i couldnt have made the call there no way even if you were also playing loose then hes gonna be behind in a coin flip a lot of the time so bad call in my opinion. better luck next time 7.

    I don't think A4 is a hand to take a stand with (at least not with your chip stack).

    If you are called, you are either crushed by a bigger Ace, or just barely ahead (like you were with the 10 7).

    In my opinion, I think you did something that I do sometimes (and I actively am trying to stop), and that is that you played down to a bad player. You saw him playing like an idiot for so long that you decided to teach him a lesson but instead you just did something that was -EV.

    He's willing to give away his chips so wait for a better spot. Why not just flat call him here and see what the flop brings?

    gotta fight back but you don't necessarily have to go all in. call and play position on him.
