  1. Well, everytime I read "accidental registration" posts I kinda laugh and think to myself, "what an idiot!" Karma's a biatch though because today, while still half asleep, I registered for the $2100 turbo satty to the high rollers event thinking it said 2100 FPP to the $215 WCOOP #3.

After I sat down and recognized 9 high stake regulars I quickly realized I fked up. I instantly e-mailed support explaining the situation and asked if I could get a refund if I never played a hand. They responded quickly but said that they couldn't investigate the situation until the tournament was over. I shot back a quick reply stating that I needed a straight answer immediately otherwise I wouldn't even have a chance to win the satellite and would have to watch $2100 blind away. Again, they responded within a couple of minutes but still told me that I'd have to wait for the tournament to finish before they could do any sort of investigation.

For starters, I think that's pretty BS. This type of situation must have occurred many times and I feel like support could have easily told me either "ok, assuming everything you are stating is true, you will get a refund" or "no, it's your fault for registering and now you must play it out." Support basically gave me no choice but to blind away and *hope* for a refund because surely if I played a single hand I wouldn't have any sort of appeal.

Now, I realize that it is 100% my fault for registering for the wrong tournament but I would hope that stars would respect my business enough to give me a refund or at the very least $2100 of W$. I quickly looked to see how much rake I've paid this year and the number's over $94K lol.....

Anyways, I'm feeling pretty sick about this as I wait for a response from a supervisor...anybody else been in a similar situation? How'd it end for you? thx all, hope you're having a better day!

I've made this error before (though not for that big an event) and they took care of me after the tourney was over once they saw I never played a hand. If you sat out/ didn't play I think you are pretty likely to get the refund.

easy to fake a connection failure..cant fake a mis reg and sit out
  12. I play low stakes mtts occasionally and I've had two incidents similar to yours except my misregs were the 109r and the 109 hyperturbo fml. I didnt even realize they hyperturbo misreg until the 2nd round when I got busted my some random donk named jymaster. Obviously there was no way I could get refunded for the hyperturbo but I sat out of the 109r and blinded away half my stack while emailing support 3 times and finally they respond telling me to gtfo basically. I know it was my fault but other players had made the same mistake and had been refunded so I berrated support until they refunded me. I got lucky and hope the same works out for you. GL

  13. Wow, suprised you had the balls to sit out and hope for refund...I woulda tried qualifying and turning my mistake into a cool 600k ; )

  14. Same thing happened to me but for a smaller game once, stars said it was my own fault no refund but I never paid no 90 K in rake so GL.

Same here.. I'd never have the balls to sit out like that.. pretty insane
  16. Ive gotten refunds of up to $55 before, as long as you dident play a hand they may consider it. My rake payed wasn't 90k but I emailed them explaining that if they dident refund my money for that one tourney they would lose my annual 10k in rake, and they refunded it with the same harsh message of don't do it again, this is a one time thing. They actually refunded me again, but it was a software issue the second time.
