  1. Like many of you im lazy and i play alot of internet poker, and while this is something im not proud to admit I don't give to charity hardly ever.

But, if there were charity events say once a month imo alot of people just like me would donate and not to sound too cliche, but we could make a positive difference as a community.

This isn't an entirely selfless plea here either, poker as a game and a community has and probably always will be a bit shady, and this is a great way to underline our most positive aspect.

Please pokerstars, full tilt and the like help your customers overcome the laziness barrier to their generosity.
  2. Very good idea. There should be a few buy in levels like $2+$.20+$1, $20+$2+$10, and $200+$15+$100 so that people at different bankroll levels will want to play the tourneys for the prizepool and can feel good about donating to charity at the same time.
  3. agree. someone write a form letter to send out

  4. Yeah, I've tried to come up with ideas before, but didn't spark much interest. Regardless, it's an easy way to give at least a little bit back, especially considering the ease of participating (even if i'm not playing I'll reg and just sit out). Plus a lot of the time the sites match the players donations, it's really a win win scenario. You would think more sites would be actively participating in things of this nature given the likelihood of licensing and regulation in the U.S. Positive PR ftw.
  5. Gr8 idea, I would def play

  7. Definitely cosign. Lots of live charity events. The online poker world should partake in this as well.
