There's no such thing as cheating in online poker. You're either smoking crack, or are delusional.
Just don't waste your time wading through the orgy of self-justifying rubbish that amandaw's got in that thread. Biggest joke I've seen in my time on p5s. -
im able to hack out good #s and def dont cheat.

pretty sure im a live player who only just started dabbling with online mtt's and am absolotuly shocked at the colluding/MA going on.. i mean it is the internet so it should be expected but wow...
I mean it just seems so accepted and a "part of playing online" thats it's shocking to someone making the transition. If i started playing online then i'd just consider it as normal aswell but if you have any moral decency what-so-ever you would have to say that something needs to be done...but thats where we go round in circles because obviously you cant stop telephone convo's etc..
End of the day it's going to happen whether people like it or not, just gotta play ur game and not worry bout who they are and who there friends are at the table etc... You know the ones who are doing it, they are the ones that can't transition to live play. Suddenly they are a fish out of water. Whats even sadder though is the people who know the MA's and the ones doing the AIM chat etc.. dont nark out there m8's cos well exactly that, they r m8s. - And thats the bullshit downside to online poker - have sum fucking dignity and out these people. -
its happening everywhere, no way of proving it so we jus gotta get on with it.
end of convo bro -
Can´t just point my finger to anyone. How can I prove that? But would be nice to see an audit made by a third part that would examine some player´s hand histories looking for friendly soft plays / colluders / teamplay / etc. Then I would be happy to point some names for the " research ".
This is really disappointing, really really really. Prob tons of cash players do the same. They should have a security team or some software to track for soft play/collusion and get rid of them(something that really works, with hand history analizys). I dont see other future for the online poker. I know good mid/high stakes MTT players that quit Full Tilt because of that. Peace. -
Unless your friend is sitting at the other end of the poker table. Then the party begins... whoaa

I don't cheat, but I did finally download skype this weekend so maybe I'll start now that I have that it sounds easy enough to do based on OP
-
With all the technology out there it would be nice if the sites
implemented some sort of way to block players from being
logged into the site and IM at the same time. -
I always ask my dog for help while playing. I never get a good advice.

there should be certain things that set off red flags with the poker sites and should lead to further investigation...i guess they could just program these scenarios into the system an have a notification when one of them occurs...ie open folding a pair like TT++, open folding AQ in the cutoff...etc etc....maybe even an alert when two players from the same city are at the same table (obviously this happens when its completely innocent, too) but at least something to notify the site and be on the lookout for strange play...or a notification when players who have transferred to each other are at the same table....just brainstorming, holler.
-
The sites rarely seem to show any interest in colluding or cheating until they are alerted by members of P5s or 2+2 so why would they start now?
-
Can you guys give examples of said cheating? If so, just ship them to support and they will take care of it
This thread is pretty absurd, ur brainwashing everyone to think that everyone is collluding.
Maybe I'm naive but I dont see a ton of obvious cheating... And idk whether everyone is just jumping on the OMG they're everywhere!!!! bandwagon or actually experience it -
i dont see why this couldnt easily be implemented right now. i know atleast on FTP if you have sngwiz running it wont let you login until you close it.
-
just because someone is using teamviewer or skype doesnt mean they are cheating. I have weekly sessions using those which are great for groups and lessons. i know sheets uses teamviewer or broadcasts his session once a week for pxf subs. their are tons of legit uses. If someone is going to cheat they are going to its just a fact of life

repost

how is colluding with other players that aren't in the game cheating?
-
O M G, Someone open folded AQ? HE MUST be a hacker.

N oh yeah, just because I see two people who both happen to live in New York, it must mean they're cheaters, along with the 319 other players in the same MTT from New York.
Wp sir wp.
Welp, SNGwiz is a program clearly designed for poker use, while Skype/AIM/Yahoo/MSN Messenger/ICQ/Teamviewer/Mikogo/Any other fkn program you can think of that doesn't have HUD/SNG/Poker in its title, aren't.Originally Posted by poisoneye1986

How the fk is FTP going to stop someone from sending an instant message while in an MTT? Or why? None of those programs are intended for the sole use of cheating on a poker website.
