How does a player agree to chop a pot in a tourny,on line ,how does it work? sorryI will explain better,my bad,I read where a on line tourny,was choped by 3 players,so how would you slit it up,would the site be called or is there,a person watching that understands this and credits there acct?

i guess I'll answer you, but if you don't really know this--you should probably read a basic poker book for more standard information about the game.
you dont agree to chop a pot in 99.9% of hands. There are two types of hands that may cause a chop (obviously not talking about hi/lo because that should be logical).
1-if two players have the same 5 card hand (you always use 5, no more or less)
2-in a live event where something goes wrong in the hand, i.e.-the dealer causes a misdeal or something similar, then sometimes the floor director will allow the players to chop the pot as a compromise.
You may be talking about chopping the 'prize pool' of a tourney- in that case, this usually happens when EVERYONE that remains in the tournament comes to an agreement on the amounts that each person will receive (this could be equal, proportional, etc.)

marco may be referring to two people agreeing to chop a pot in they both have KK preflop and are all-in (for example). I have heard of some casinos allowing this if both parties agree. Anybody have any personal experience on this?
