  1. I just got heads up in a $3 turbo rebuy and and we were both 8 bb's deep, so I asked the other player if they wanted an even chop...I said winner transfers the money and I ended up winning and transfered immediately. So my question is: Has anyone else ever done this? Is this safe to do? If I lost, and he didn't transfer, could full tilt support seize the funds based on the agreement we made in the chat box? Thanks,

  2. yes ftp monitors this shit all the time
  3. Good point, I watched the two guys heads up in the 750K guarantee on Full Tilt ask if they wanted to chop, both agreed but didn't know how to, they ended up playing it out without a chop, but the agreement was in the chat box. Wonder if the other guy followed it up with support?
  4. you can't chop on ftp...period

  5. You CAN chop on Full Tilt if you can get support to come to the table. The problem is that they won't come unless you're a big muckity muck. Last chop I saw involved Lederer.
  6. I would have a hard time chopping with someone i didnt know. If it was a regular that has a reputation to uphold in the poker community that i would consider doing this. I have seen a fulltilt employee cacilitate a chop but only once in my life. I think they need to get their support more like pokerstars. Seems quick and easy to chop there. Glad to here that you held up your end of the bargain here though and congrats on your score.
  7. I have e-mailed full tilt support about this before. I no longer have the email but their response was to the effect of, and i am paraphrasing: We do not facilitate deals at the final table. Any deals made in a tournament are on the honor system. We cannot be responsible if anything goes wrong.

This is not an exact quote but is from my memory. I personally would not make a deal with an unkown based on this information. There is no assurance of trust and no way to escrow the money.

I really wish that full tilt would put a team together to act as the equivalent of casino floorpeople to handle situations like this. There are also many other situations in which "floorpeople" would be very valuable to players, such as collusion/cheating, abusive players, beggars and many other issues. I'm sure this would not be good for their bottom line as it would add more cost to them with no gain. But it would be extremely valuable to players and would be good for the long term of their business and the industry in general. Email is too slow and inneficient to deal with these issues. Many of these issues need to be handled immediately.
  8. I like that FullTilt doesn't do chops. Just play for the win. In a $3 rebuy I'm glad to win 2nd place money and have a shot for 1st. I also like that you have to play any tourney for which you qualified via satelite....this brings in a wider skill range.
  9. terrible logic
  10. I do like the idea that you play the MTTs to win, not to make it to the top 5 and chop the thing. Having said that I would not risk a garunteed $2000 for a shot at $7200 (That being a stars example but same idea).
