While searching online for information about a Charity event being held there at the end of this month. I came across this bit of information:
"The famous Kentucky Derby may soon be an online poker competitor, thanks to loopholes in the UIGEA and the entrepreneurial spirit of the President and CEO of Churchill Downs racetrack, the owner of the Derby brand. CEO Bob Evans, who attended a small business luncheon, spoke of entrepreneurs being smart to look for ways to offer new products in existing markets, and the online horse betting of the new TwinSpires site could be just the spot for online poker. Evans was brought on board for his technology background."

IMO this is very big news. The horse racing industry has always found a way to keep their form of gambling legal. If they jump into the ring, we could all benefit. Any reason not to get my hopes up?
