I was watching a turbo rebuy on ub for there 200 9:00 tourn. A player named xxKJHxx had just won a seat in another buy in and they were down to 5 players with 4 seats being given and $20 for 5th. The player knew that she couldnt get anything for winning another seat and was trying to make other players pay her to get out. Is this sorta classless. Everytime ive ever seen people win seat in tornys on ub they always drop out or if theres any money being awarded they get to the money and than drop out . She ended up knocking another player out and than made some comment like what a dumb azz foreigner. Just wondering what anyone else thinks of that kind of player.

LMAO..Keith...How could ya sir?
-
Ps...XX is a man!
-
Ok for some reason thought it was a lady but doesnt change what im asking. Would you do it tee?
-
KID88: If you watched the entire game, you would have seen me trying to make a deal with the remaining players.
They never even spoke up. I asked for them to each send me $25, which was a VERY good deal. Goes to show you I will play to win reguardless the situation.....and YES I could have taken the $20 for 5th.
Keep my name out of your blogs....whoever wrote this. Thank You, KEITH HUDSON
PS. IF he could have spoke english he mighta gotta cheap seat. Maybe speak english if you play at english speaking tables, was my reference to what happened. -
YEs, I am a sir..... :)
-
Saw you trying to make deal a few times i just never saw anyone doing it befor. I could see you doing it on stars but what did you accompish by doing this.
-
Him offering them a deal is doing them a favor. They all get a seat for only 25 bucks.
-
EXACTLY Korrupt. I have already won a seat into the $215 just b4 this one. I explained it to all the players, and it was insane.
Here is how I look at it. 1. IF UB keeps my $215 #2 buy in, then so be it.
2. These guys are idiots (esp. the guy who got 5th, and got $20)
3. I am one step closer, with one less person not getting into the $215, thus the money is in there from my #2 feeder win. It's like eliminating a player in a sense.
I AM LAUGHING at you Kid88.
You should realize what happened, and think it out thoroughly before calling me classless.
I GET MINE..... -
Sorry i guess i worded it wrong. i dont know you so i apoligize if you think im calling you a classless person, your probably a good guy.I guess i just looked at it a different way. Agaian i apologize and good luck to you in the tourny.
-
Apology accepted. GL 2 u man.
-
what a cheap ass, trying to get $25 to drop out... hahahaha i don't know if i've ever heard of anything as pathetic. so instead of getting $20 for 5th, you got nothing except the pleasure of knowing someone else didn't qualify. this player's name is on my ultimate buddy list too... and I only add donkeys!!!!
-
so this guy wanted to get 25$ from the other 4 players when they were giving 4 seats?
why would they do give him money to drop out when theyve pretty much got their seat -
I don't know about this specific situation, but I don't see anything wrong with dealmaking in satellites in general. For example, I forced a deal with the short stack in the PCA freeroll where the final table all got seats, because I knew I couldn't go.
-
Why join a satellite you know you can't win another seat to?
And, yes, I sorta think it is classless, then again, I play in the sat's on stars all the time.
It's incredibly fun to play in them, and also a fairly big deal for most small stakes players to get a seat.
You actually thought all the other players would pay you, $25? Personally, If I was positive I couldn't get another sat seat, I would have dropped out.
Thats sort of the moral thing to do.
So sorry you were upset they wouldnt give you $25 each, since when is talking at the table a requirement for play. -
Seems pretty silly to me to enter a satelite when you know the top prize is worthless to you. Greedy bastich should of taken the $20 for 5th. And yes, I would call that classless. Flame away.
-
q- -p He signed up for both sats before he won his seat!
-
okay, so not silly. But I still think it was pure greed trying to get everyone to pay him $25 when the best he could hope for was $20. If you enter two sats to the same tourney at the same time, your taking a chance.
-
By the same token, if there are 5 people left and only 4 get seats, you are taking a chance by deciding to play it out rather than "chop" by paying off $25. Nothing wrong with using all information available to you here to try and work out a favorable deal.
