  1. I still play terrible. Therefor, I need a coach.
Who's coaching MTT low/midstakes donks like me?
I am a member at 3 different training sites out there, have send some messages thou which had not been answered by the "coaches", pretty annoying -_-
Would like to hear some advice from your experience.

    This is +EV

PXF is okay for the videos but only give access to the thought process of the presenter at the moment of play and not much to the reasons why. Sometimes the videos are hard to follow and the presentations are either dry or have too much banter.... pretty pricey as well unless you already have a decent BR.

If you are on a budget, read the recent article about Jennifear here:
    http://www.pocketfives.com/articles/...s-post-585819/

Also, get more in depth decision making reasoning from the book series "Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time" vol 1 and 2 as well as the many poker books written by Sklansky and Harrington as well as others. Take the Game Theory lecture series from Open Yale University offered FREE.
Don't ignore the fundamentals of Poker. A good start would be to read "The Theory of Poker" by Sklansky.
Study and practice is key but a strong psychology of self support is essential to avoid frustration so don't ignore the many poker psycholgy books that are offered.

When you believe that you have the fundamental knowledge then schedule a session with Jennifear, or another coach of your choosing and keep studying and practicing.

PoketFives is a great place to find the articles, beginners guides, etc. and is, IMO, the reason why the level of play across the board has increased in sophistication.
  6. pxf is well worth the money

    $420 / first year tho....$300 / year after that.
Pretty pricey when BR is short.
So, PXF value is BR dependent.
If OP is on a budget, as I am, then posted articles and books are alternative.
If BR permits, then I agree, PXF is worth the money....
However, IMO, it is more +EV to work with a coach who will communicate with you and with whom you develop a working relationship, as long as the coach is a good one, such as the ones prev. mentioned in this thread.
OP already a member of 3 training sites and is not getting requested feedback from coaching staff whereas, I paid for one session with Jennifear and over time I have gotten WAY more than one session worth of coaching...I'm currently saving up for a second session.
Also, if you haven't already seen this thread, it is one of the best on P5s this week...hint...read it all.....

I don't feel like looking it up, but is your ROI bad? You've cashed for close to 100K, so you're at least way better than an average player. Message me if you want and we can talk hands and watch eachother player maybe.

40K Profit at 82% ROI sounds like a bluff brag post to me
  11. Yeah spare us the false modesty, you might have holes, but you aren't "terrible". I'm sure some lesser player would have responded with some message that you felt beneath yourself and the trap would have been sprung:

"No offense but I was looking for advice from someone better than me"

ROI and profit don't matter if your biggest score is 3/4 your profit. Not that this is th e case, but just stating.

And I would concur in normal circumstances. In this instance he's currently 2400 out of 1million FT customers on another popular player ranking site.Hardly constitutes the 'terrible at poker' statement.

I do get your drift though.
  15. tournament poker edge. com its 20$ a month and well worth it. I had pxf b4 and did get some nice scores, alot of the vids are a bit outdated not sure of the newer 1s. but at tpe the vids are rly up to date .after i watched a few of the bigdogs vids and hit the pandas i made 5 f tbls and i had some nive $ scores take a look at this site u will not be dissapointed.
  16. OK, thanks for the responses.
Although I've made decent money playing MTTs, those I had a decent cashes in were all lowstakes.
I find myself getting pwnd too often when I'm playing MTTs like the 20rebuy on fulltilt or something like that.
I've already red many books, including WPT 1+2, Kill Everyone and some psychology coverage as well. I just want to make me stay focused, understanding poker theory better as well as getting (way) better @ hand reading. And imo, a coach is the only option.
Will try to get help @ PXF, if not succesful, will hit Jennifear up.
