  1. how can ftp throw a tourney and have their husband and wife team, the jetts, playing in the same tourney? while i'm sure they have taken every step to insure the jetts are in separate rooms, what happens if chip gets up for coffee and accidently sees his wife's screen. could be an unfair advantage. claude.

  6. There was a similar thread earlier this week, talking about roommates playing in the same MTT. Most sites prevent people playing on the same IP from entering the same SNG or Cash table because collusion is much more possible in those situations.

Whether they are in the same room, same IP address or have contact through IM, phone or two cans tied to a string - there is nothing except integrity and ethics that can prevent two people sharing information in the same MTT. Although the odds in a big field event are slim, I've seen "couples" be at the same table in an MTT. You just have to hope that they are on the up-and-up.

However, if you do suspect that people are colluding, you are well within your rights to report to whatever site. They have software that can determine collusion type activity (chip dumping, laying down big hands - i.e. one person has AA and the other person lays down QQ pre-flop with no action in front of them).

  7. Since when can't a husband and wife play in the same tourney? Did they change the rules?

  8. If Husband and Wife playing on separate IP addresses, they can play on any game. But same IP address - software usually prevents on SNG and cash games. MTT's seem to be OK.

  9. This is correct for not just FTP. As I understand it, you can do it on all the major poker sites.

Also, I'm not entirely sure if all SNGs are off limits. I think playing in those that have multi-tables (i.e. 45, 90, 180 man) are allowed.
  10. Even worse, what if they pull the "Switcheroo"?
