Confusing Hand. Opinions needed.

    I witnessed this hand yesterday and I believe that seat 3 should have been in the position of the BB even though he did not have enough chips to cover the ante. He was sitting out and the poker room folded his hand before the blinds were posted therefore making seat 4 post the BB when he should have been UTG.

    I emailed the poker room and they told me that the hand was played out correctly but they did not give me a satisfactory explanation why. I showed the hand to a few of my friends and they agree with me that the blinds were not posted correctly.

    I want to get more opinions on this.

    If you agree with the poker room and feel that this hand was set up correctly please explain why you think a hand should be able to be folded after the antes are posted but before the blinds are posted.
