    Glad to see this finally up and working on P5s.

    few things i am wondering.

    ---are there mods just for the new MP threads? (might be to early for that, as not much traffic is here yet)

    ---seems like you covered it well in the other thread, but always posting screenames on all sites really helps people spot scammers, so that should really be a no tolerance rule. seems like you got the right idea though, just want to bring it up again

    ---does P5s benefit in anyway from any of the deals. some sites take a cut from the horse.

    ---this might be too much to ask (esp in a place in such a infancy stage), but seeing how much action someone is selling/how much action he has going at one time would be pretty cool. seems like a lot of work from a programmers standpoint, and if you arent making any money off it, than i can see why this wouldnt happen. but thought i would ask/throw it out there

    ---badges for stakers on your site...?????????????????

    No mods specifically for the threads but we have a bunch of mods on the site who can mod in the thread.

    P5s does not take a cut of any deal.

    The customization stuff is definitely on the way but it can't be implemented quickly. We plan on eventually having a full-blown marketplace with many customization options. At that point, we may or may not opt to charge for aspects of the marketplace. Those decisions have barely been discussed, let alone made on a final basis.

    LOL @ badges, maybe down the road for the top ones :)

    I was just asked by a friend that I brought to p5's the other day weather they had a marketplace and I honestly didn't know! Glad to see you guys are considering it. I know it addi a lot more work but I imagine the idea is these recent additions (p2p, this, etc) will add to the p5's community and will help it compete with other forums. I'd agree with that thinking. I think p5's has a lot going for it and could be much bigger then it already is.

    I use the marketplace on another forum a little and it is a nice option. Probably the thing I like the most is the share selling part of a marketplace. I've done it a couple of times and it allows a person to lower variance and play a bigger set of mtt's that they may not have the roll for otherwise.

    Again, it's a ton of work though and I'd understand not wanting to take it on :) glgl p5's

    it's really hard to sell yourself and keep everything clean with just one post in a busy thread
    on the other hand, having your own thread in a marketplace forum would be heaps more effective.
    Also ppl can see thread titles and see what they want to read, not Wade thru all the bullshit

    Is this going to follow a similar structure to Part Time Poker or will it mainly be a junction for people to arrange deals which are then followed through independently of the site?

    We haven't 100% finalized all aspects of exactly how it's going to work but it will be a bit of a merge between what 2p2 does and what PTP does. We will not be as involved as PTP is but it will be more than just a forum with some rules.

    This is a great idea but I think it should consist of just selling pieces of yourself for certain tournaments. Staking should be removed and should not be an option in the marketplace. 99% of the players looking for stakes in the marketplace are never going to get it and it takes away from the effectiveness of the marketplace. 9 out of 10 of the posts are players looking for a stake who have no tournament experience and it really just clutters the board and make people not wanna look through the marketplace. I know I would regularly buy pieces and sell pieces of myself in high stakes wcoop events or live events. It would make it easier than having to go on aim messaging friends to see if they are interested in buying pieces of you. I think its a great idea but needs to be tweaked just my two cents.

    +1.......I buy alot of action over at 2+2 and they have a great format. I think it is one of the more str8 forward ways to buy/sell action.

    Yea we are going to separate it. One of the reasons for making that thread was to see how things would play out and that is definitely a problem.

    Possibly similar in some ways but not the same as PTP. They do their niche pretty well.
