  1. Live 1-2 NL. Im in 7th position, 2 limpers in front. I pick up KK, and raise it up to 17 (i have $385 behind.) @ players call oop and I have them both covered. Flop comes Q88 rainbow, utg bets 20, next guy (
lag and loves to steal) calls, i reraise 50 more, O.R. thinks for a second b4 moving all in. Next guy folds, I call, he shows 10-8 offsuit. No help on turn or river, GG me.

What could I have done on that hand to change the outcome, and should I have gotten away from the hand? I put UTG on AQ, but Im looking for some advice here. Thanks.

  2. Nothing, I guess, except fold to the push. If you have guys limping, then calling a 15$ raise with T8o, who knows what the fuck is going on?
  3. I think that you can get away from it here (although I have a bad habit of calling in this spot). Its tough to comment without knowing how these guys have been playing but I would think that AQ would raise in EP. I think limp calls involve an 8 a lot of the time.

Lets look at what hands you can beat which is only one involving a Q. AQ seems like it would raise. KQ, QJ, Q10 but would this guy really put you all in with these hands when you have shown strength twice??

I think you have to get away from this here, you have shown strength twice and he has shoved on you. The only hand he could have that you realistically beat is AQ. Hope this helps a little.

  4. Agree with Wicane..

Hard to say without any reads on OR or what kind of image u have at the table. But as he said, u have showed good strenght two times, and he is still not afraid of getting all he´s chips in.. i would either put him on A8 wanting to see the flop or maybe even QQ limping in early pos.

    tough fold but doable..

  5. I understand completely what ur saying and i thought the same thing as well, but a couple things influenced my decision. First off he was in the small blind not UTG (my mistake). He had been at the table only about 20 minutes, and he was raising almost every other hand, and he had shownn a couple of bluffs. He even pushed some1 off a pair of aces, jack kicker, with pocket 7's. he was loose and aggressive, so I thought I was good.

  6. i dont know how much he had in front of him but i wouldnt call all my chips off (or 200+) with an over pair there. i mean what else could he have? I would probably be thinking QQ A8 78, 89. the best hand is usually played exactly how he played it.

BUT if he had 150 or less its an insta call. well maybe not insta but probably a call.
  7. ok well thanks guys
