  1. Is this fold too nitty? One thing I will say is that his check-raise was very quick

The reason I decided to fold here was because I didn't think I was beating any legitimate hands, other than AK which doesn't count. AQ,A7,77 make sense. It would be crazy to make a move on this board given there is a high probabilty that I have the hand I have given I'm UTG raiser. Is it feasible he's doing this on some kind of hand like KJc or KQc? Either way it seems like there is a high probabilty that I'll end up showing down the second best hand by the river.

Is there a better way the hand could have been played?
  2. I think it's an OK fold. You'd be calling praying for a K on the turn, because you know he's gonna lead out again. He might be check-raising with the flush draw, but I think it's rare enough in something like the 50/50 where you're behind more often than not here.

  3. assuming this is NOT a rebuy tourney, does everyone agree that in general, this is a more and more -EV play (to stay in hand in any way - call down or shove) the larger the buyin? in other word, if this is a $2 tourney, it might be +EV, but if this is a $200 tourney, there's no way it's +EV? agree everyone?

since this is a $50 freezeout on PS, i think it's -EV.
  4. BLarkin, I think you're right as well. In this particular instance, you'll find a lot more people willing to spew off with AJ or something else the OP beats in a $2 MTT than a $100 MTT.

  5. I think this is a marginal fold , this line could be that villain is trying to gain info on his weak ace by check raising.. um also
77 makes sense or a7 if hes loose... but u could still beat aj a6 a5 a2 a3 a4 at a9 a8 .. this is a tough spot to be in imo with
his line and considering that this flop really hit your range i think he either has a weak ace and doesnt believe u or he holds
    a twopair /set hand.
