couple bvb hands from FTOPS #1 need your opinion

    i don't have the HH right at the moment, so plz bare with me.

    blinds 170/340/25

    folds around to me in sb(8600) with 9sTs

    bb(7000).

    read: he's totally in his resteal mode. last orbit i opened A7o with 30bb in sb and folded to his 20bb shove.

    can i open ship that? what's the best line?

    blinds 200/400/50

    folds around to sb(12,000) 3x raises to 1200

    I'm in the bb(20,000) with A8o.

    flat? raise/fold? raise/call?

    reads: no real reads, 2 hands ago he opened 2.75 UTG then folded to reraise. he hasn't been playing many hands

    1. blinds plus antes here are a total of 760. 3 x BB raise would be 720 and the potisize would be 1,310 and only 680 more for him to call. So the least thing he will do is call and then what if you don't hit the flop? Or what if he is indeed in resteal/shove mode? I go for the open shove.

    2. reraise and fold to shove. If he is stealing he will abandon mission after reraise but if he ship, maybe he has got the goods and then A8 is not such a great hand.

    great analysis. on #2 i would make a big reraise to like 4800 or so to make him think we are not folding and then fold to his shove because if he does shove he prolly has big hand. On #1 i like limping here and calling a raise so maybe we can see a flop before putting him all in. I like to find out "where i am" before putting too many chips in. If he goes all in after ur limp then its tough. If you "have a feeling" your gonna hit then call
