  1. Last night I was playing some single table sngs and had a couple of interesting hands come up. Hand 1 is the very first hand of the sng. I know you should play tight early in sngs, is AQ strong enough with this action?

What is your play for these hands?
  2. Ace Paint on the button?

game 1 pop it to 320. It's early and you have position. get bruno and Ocean out of the pot.

game 2 is all in or fold. He has done a standard rase but is in early positon. What was your read on him. that will answer the question.

I'm interested to see what you did. Your av. roi is quite strong at that level.
  3. I ended up folding both hands. For hand 1, I actually figured that since it was early I could find a better spot. As it was Mr.Scruples ended up knocking someone out with KK (incidently I would have won with a rivered Ace, but that's beside the point.

Hand 2, I thought that the raiser was playing a little tight, and I didn't think that I had much Fold Equity if I reraised him. I figured I'd rather be the first one in rather than shove over a raiser.

Anyone think that playing this way is too tight?

  4. You were not playing too tight. with low blinds it's better to be tight than overly agressive. How did you end up in this sng?
  5. I played 3 sngs last night (a lot for me, I don't have any time any more :( ) I came in 2nd in the 6.50 and I think I came in 2nd in the 5.50 (it was either 2nd or 7th or 8th... obv AQ>KK)
