  1. ok, i ended up calling but i dont know if its a clear fold, an easy push or just a toss up. my read on the original raiser was
raised 3x after a raise at 10/20 with AKs, then called all in
    raised 2.5x utg+1
raised 3x MP, called all in with QQ

so he hasnt really done anything out of line, but hands ive seen him raise so far have been QQ and AKs, so i could be dominated or coin flipping. my stack is a little low as ive been card dead, so that may be why i pushed. idk. any advice would help, even one word answers like "fold" are great. thanks.

  2. not a bad play. I think with JJ you have to raise because if you call an over card will most likely come and you'll have to fold to a bet which will also likely come so just calling isn't a good idea. But the only raise you can make will commit you to the pot so pushing is your best option. Someone might even see this, think "squeeze play" and call with a substandard hand. You only have 13 BB, not a bad time to get it in.
  3. even if he is showing a couple good hands you cant call or fold with 13 BB. if you make a standard reraise to like 1000 then youre committed so thats a good shove and bad timing but thats what you have to do there nice job
  4. I would have shoved also. There's always a chance he'd fold, even given his history. If he doesn't, there's always a chance you may have the best hand or you get a lucky board. You can't just sit there getting blinded away, chip stack shrinking, dead cards continuing, etc. You need chips and I think you took a good shot.
  5. excellent, just wanted to be sure. i knew calling wasnt an option i just threw it in the title, i knew we were push/fold there but i wanted to make sure we were still pushing despite what weve seen him show down. thanks a lot for the responses.

  6. I definitely think you have to shove here. There is a good chance that you have him dominated with a hand like 88-TT and more than likely he has AJs, AQos, AQs, or AK. A few of these you might be able to get him to lay down and most of the others you will be able to increase your stack by about 130% if you win because I think the caller for sure will be folding in this hand so you will be at worst a coin clip.

Granted we see that he awoke with QQ and wasn't going to lay it down but you still had outs and I think it was the right play even though you busto. GG
