Daily Double JackPot Fail!

    So I realized today how awful the system in on FTP for the Daily Jackpots.

    I finished 84th and 4th for $720. A guy that finished 9th and 18th for $300 wins the best finish. His average finish is better than mine sure but isn't the reason we play for $$$? Even if I was in his shoes I'd think this were completely flaud, even tho I'd obv take the money.

    Am I being stupid about this or does it just seem ass backwards?

    Why? I just don't get why total cashes wouldn't be the deciding factor.

    because then the person that would win the Daily Double A (which is usually the bigger of the two) would win the jackpot 99% of the time, for having the highest combined cash (1st place prize money in A + $0 prize money in B)

    it is a lot more of an accomplishment to make it deep in both tournaments. think about it, is it harder to get 9th and 18th in 2 consecutive tournaments? or 4th and 84th? def. harder making a run to the final 2 tables in both tourneys

    make sense?

    Huh? Come one dude, 18+9/2 is a lot less than 4+84/2. Just let it go. Especially if those were the rules, otherwise you just sound like an SEC team bitching how Florida and Alabama deserve to play each other in the National Championship.

    10th-12th get the same money.

    Who had the better finish - the guy in 10th or the guy in 12th?

    And actually - if they used something similar to PLB formula, then you might have argument. But their rules are best average finish.

    In theory you have a point...but looking at place finish ALONE. 9th and 18th sounds so much better than 4th and 84th.

    So basically you are saying if you win one and min cash in the other, you deserve to win best double finish over someone who say finishes 6th in one and 8th in the other because you won more money. Now that seems "flawed"

    Also in that crapshoot 9th place is the same as 4th...u ran like God to finish in 9th or 4th.

    The Rules clearly state best double finish so yes you are begin stupid about this.

    Because that's what the rules are maybe? If the rules were whoever cashes for the most combined then you wouldn't have won either because guess what any person who finished higher than 4th in either double would have beat you.
