  1. I'm playing in the Daily Fifteen Grand, and the fourth hand in I pick up KK in an ugly spot. I don't normally play in this tournament so I am unsure of what kind of level of play to expect but I was very confused about how this hand played out so decided to throw it away and move on. What would be your play here? What is your take on this situation and what type of hands should I assign to the villian and why? Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!

  2. I dont think you need expert analysis at all. Very easy fold.
  3. in general, though you need to switch it up sometimes so your oppenents cannot put you on a mid range hand, making a continuation bet in this spot is a huge leak. By betting with KK on an A hi board you are forcing stronger hands to call or raise you while getting hands you have crushed to fold. Rather than continiution bet check calling a weak bet is preferable. In this spot because you are against two opponents check folding is the best line. But if you are up against on player checking and then calling a bet on the turn (if one is not made ont he flop) is definetly preferable.
  4. The only way I can win the pot right there though is by betting them out and getting them to fold. If I am beat then the bet on the flop followed by the quick call lets me know. I think check/calling or check/folding while might be smarter, it is also a leak because then I don't know where I am at. Also, I think if I don't lead out I am just letting hands that don't already beat me catch a free card and draw out on me.

  5. Smok, while I agree with you some of the times its just not right to c-bet however with 2 other opponents in the hand I felt because I showed strength preflop I had to fire out on the flop and see what happened from there. I think not betting the flop is -ev seeing that if someone doesn't already have an ace, that they might actually be trailing on a flush or straight draw and checking gives them the opportunity to catch.

  6. the blinds are so small i dont see a point in trying to pick up such a small pot when your hand is so weak.
