    i played in a $320 buy in 50k guarantee at dania casino in st. florida last friday .while i know most the plyrs are raw amateurs.what ensued there really blew my mind.there was 4 tbls left when people starting hollering chop.everyone gets 2k.of course this is not in my playbook.so i approached the floor and told them i had a partner on phone so he defnitely wanted no deals.as soon as he announced this my blood was in the water .so my annonimity was blown,they were paying 21 players so when we got to 23 they wanted to take money off 1st and give it tolast two who get knocked out. i of course refused as having over 200k (top ten stack) i was intent on doing some bubble crushing .with this people asked me where i lived, hope u parked close by ,etc.
    after 20 mins of duress i asked floor to call for broward county police officer who patrols building.as i didnt feel safe.the officer approached me with stern look asked me whats my problem.i explained i entered tourney to win it. and no law says i have to chop he tells me beratingly why i didnt take 5k which was offered (never was) i was aghast policer officer telling me to chop .so he said i cant stay here i have to patrol whole area i told him if something happened .he was aware of the duress i was under ,and he said yes. with this 1 guy says f,,,k him we all give $50 bucks to pay last 2 which in my opinion should not be allowed. beacuse obv kills my bubble .but i thought if i comlain defnitely could lead to violence.so i said nothing.i got down to 14 plyrs bilnds 10k 20k 1 had 65k in bb with kj when plyr raises to 50k i obv shove he tanks for 2 mins (slowroll)calls 15k and shows ak and i went out both remaining tbls and rail stood up and clapped and cheered. i collected my money, floor said anything for dealers would be appreciated NERVE(especially after one of them told me i should agree with deal) so i said tell them ty very much and informed him oviously i would never come back.im writing this so anyone in st.florida who wants to play there beware of mob muppets .also 1 of my friends had similar incident 5 months earlier when he wouldnt chop at ft. 1 guys wife extremely pregnant said she was due that night and he was piece of s -- t. for not chopping endangering her newborn. i did see hilarous side of all events .but they are also seriously disturbing. ty guys

    Way to drop the ball. You missed a perfectly good opportunity to get beaten up, tell the local news about it, and lobby for support of how this stuff never happens from the quite enjoyable confines of your home while you are playing online at such great sites as pokerstars.COM, THE WORLD'S LARGEST POKER SITE!

    but seriously, sry to hear about ur story. in the future i would go to a more reputable casino, despite how oxymoronic that sounds there ARE reputable casinos in the world that would not have tolerated this.

    Sorry to hear that man, I deal in south florida and it IS sad to see the numbers of crybabys out there screaming for chops. Where I work they would not allow the continued soliciting. And they are really good about keeping the person anonomous.

    I was debating on playing this thing but when i found out what the structure was like I passed......i understand the retarded players make up for it, but for a $320 tourney i expect more play at the end of the tourney. I mean the whole point is to win, and if im not playing for a $8k+(im assuming it was close to this) first place, then why play. With that said, its not the worse thing in the world to chop at SOME point since Dania Tournament Directors lack a brain.

    Obv, with some sort of player friendly structure i def agree but you have to understand the variance in this piss poor structure. Just curious as to what 1st, 14th & 21st got paid and what time this thing ended? BTW, did you type this on your phone cause its very confusing trying to read it.

    i don't want to come off as a tough guy here, but if people are insinuating violence you need to step the fuck up and let them know yer gonna be ready for whatever. this is absolute bullshit but i sure as fuck would have let everyone know that when they come at the king they best not miss

    I played a south FLA tourney once and when it got down to six players some guy was like last ten hands! I'm like WTF?! turns out I enter this thing and play tight with NOBODY telling us that when it's down to 6 players left there are only ten hands left.

    I heard about this occourence from people that were there. Occording to them, the OP is exaggerating. There was a chop discussed, and he declined. There were some grumblings, but no physical violence was threatened, and if there was-what is the avg age? 65? When he called for the cops he was asked who threatened you and he said no one. Good story though if it was true.
