I think most people either love Danny or hate em however I have sort of am boderline on that subject until today. Obviously he is a world class player and a self indulging egomaniac but I like to try to read / listen to anything I can get my hands on from him just because he is such a great player. I actually enjoyed READING his blog even on non poker related matters including golf game and I tried to keep an open mind when he switched to the video blog but this guy is just too much to deal with anymore. The other day I catch one of his video blogs where he is driving his car while VBing and even looking down at his Treo so he can read his notes. I thought that was pretty wreckless but to each their own. However, I just watched his latest entry and I have had enough. I guess he has a right to do these video blogs however he wants but it's just disrepectful to the viewer to have to see this guy yawn in between every other sentence on his couch. GG Danny.

"disrepectful?" puuuuuuuuh-lease. it's free. and he really does update it just about every day. he does all these stupid things lamely failing to be funny, but so what. the whole point of the last post was how draining the horse event was, so him yawning on the couch wasnt so bad. but seriously, it's FREE. get a life.

I've had no problem with it. I watch it just to get an insiders perspective of what being at the wsop and playing every event is like. The video blog has actually given me more respect for him. I think he comes off as a real nice and regular guy.
-
the video blog owns.
way better than his regualr blog where he talks about going to the salon to get a haircut and he he sees a gay black guy or something -
srdmat2, you're just defending him because you play in the big game with him.
-
Honestly if this upsets you so much why even bother watching it? For him to find the time in his busy scheduel to update his fans on whats going on is unprecedented. I personally go to his website first every time i turn on my computer and enjoy being able to get in the mind of a world class player. You think its disrespectful because instead of getting some much needed rest after playing some disgustingly long hours in the HORSE tourney he decided to let his fans know how the event went and god forbid he yawned a few times, he should be shut down!!!!! Who are you to make these statements? You sir, are an idiot.
-
^^ i second that

I guess you three fall into category # 1. Point well taken about the yawning metaphor however care to address the driving blog. That was actually dangerous not only to the passengers in his vehicle but all the other cars on the road with him.
-
Mooks, where did I say he should be shut down? I never meant to even imply that. I just wanted to see what others on this site thought of the new format and also express my disappointment in the way he presents himself during the vidoes. I still have nothing but respect for his game and I even said that I too paid very close attention to his blogs because of what a great player he is. I just like reading a blog and not watching one and the last two just were too much for me.
-
I would respect him, too, if he yawned less. I've learned in the past that I respect people who sleep constantly more than those who aren't talented enough to hold back yawns. What's next, him having an eyelash and not noticing it? I DEMAND PROFESSIONALISM. BAN NEGREANU.

Surely a 29-year-old, with some 13 or 14 years of driving under his belt, has occasionally taken his hands out of the 10-2 position? Fiddled with the radio while driving? Smoked? Had a drink? Used a cell phone? Are you honestly telling me that Negreanu deviating from proper Driver's Ed ettiquette is what's driving you nuts? C'mon man relax. Him checking his Treo can't be half as bad as how 75% of Americans drive every single day.

down with carl monday.
-
I have no idea what that means... Care to explain?
-
OK, first of all I agree with most people if you don't like it, don't watch. But you saying that he is taking time out of his busy schedule to update his fans, he isn't, he is doing it so people spam forums with information about his site. The fact that no one has mentioned that so far means that he is doing a great job with it.

Other than my first tournament ever 18 months ago, where I only played with him for about 30 minutes, I had never seen DN in a tournament, until last week where I was sitting at an adjacent table as him. His rail is out of control. People 4 and 5 deep all around his table, and he's chatting with them, getting up and signing stuff, passing his lunch around so they can all see it, ect ect. I've never seen in person someone take so well to being "known" as him.

You're upset a world class, top ranked player is taking the time out of his day to let the rest of us in on how he lives, what he thinks, does, etc. while showing he is still a normal person and not some snobby guy who has let the money go to his head.
I second the, "you sir, are an idiot."
