  1. After lurking the boards for a while, laughing at others misfortune i've decided to let others watch me in pain.

Normally I'm not much of a tournament player due to various time constraints like a full time job, being in the UK, finding time to get drunk etc. Today, however, i have decided to try and put some volume in and share my pain with p5's. I shall be registering from 1pm Server time (6pm UK) until 5pm (10pm) in the following tournies:

Total daily buy ins = $113.65
    Total cashes = $53.85

    Total Profit = -$59.80.

I have just finished my last tournament for the night and have ended the day nearly $60 dollars down. I'm honestly quite glad i don't have to do this everyday.

On the whole it was a distinctly average day, i've lost some flips when it mattered but also made some bad decisions along the way. No major bad beats or miracle 1 outers, although losing AQ<A10 for the chip lead in 1 tournament was enough to make me kick my imaginary cat!

Thanks to those that supported at my various tables and on p5's it was appreciated.

  2. Next to jesterwords in the 1pm $11 on FT. I'm currently at 4500 after winning a big pot with KK aipf.

Out in my first 4.40 losing QQ to KK aipf.

  4. those are hardly micro tournies. GL though, because the play isn't that much better there anyway.

  5. gl brother I dont really consider those all micros either but also dont think a $10 tourney is a mid level either.
either way glglgl. stay tight at those stakes early and dont be afriad to overshove when you get the nuts som donk will call
  6. 2nd hour update

    $10 on FT 4600 27/40

    $5 on FT 5300 90/126

$3 on FT 3000 36/71 not much happening in these.

$3rebuy 3k - still in the rebuy period. Haven't played many hands. Am going to start shoving a fair bit to try and accumulate.

Running pretty bad on stars, but thats nothing out of the ordinary! : )

  7. Thanks for the luck and the info guys. I've got a roll of $1000 and consider myself a micro player, so thats why i put it in the title.

Just had a small rush in the rebuy up to 8k. I'm normally happy with 100bb at the break so still have to see if i get any opportunities to chip up further.

  11. This thread should be titled.. "A day in the life of 90% of this forum"
  12. Lol at the title of this post. One of the best I've seen. Have a good time.
  13. 4th hour update

Busted the $3 rebuy with a poor steal attempt. No need to make excuses it was a stupid move.

Things have been disappointing on the whole. I haven't been in a tournament where it feels like i've had a chance to get a decent cash. So far i've had a 10th and a 12th but i was never really in a position to win either of those and i bubbled going for the win.

Currently still in both daily doubles, an $8 on stars, $2.50 on stars, and a $2 on Tilt. Still plenty of play left in those, so hopefully a result is on the way.

Oh and i agree that 90% of p5ers are micro/low stakes players and that exactly why a high stake forum needs to be implemented. I would quite happily just read the posts in that forum because the discussion would benefit everyone.

  14. 5th Hour update

I've finished signing up for the night now, currently left in only 2 tournies both on stars

    $8 - 34/ 216 13,000.

$2.50 - 759/830. 1000 Will be pushing any unopened pots straight after the break.

Things have been mediocre so far, so i'm hoping for a decent finish to the night. I feel like i've learnt a few things about playing volume in MTT's, the most notable being.... always stock up on snacks beforehand! I've been hungry for ages.

  17. 6th hour update

The 16.00 $8 on stars is my final tourny. Currently sitting at 24k at 500/1000. I'm 24/86.

I'm happy with my table at the moment, looking for some spots to get a decent amount of chips, so i can make a run for the FT.

Thanks to those that have supported throughout the day.

  18. this shimmerhorn guy seems pretty horrible....
  19. Thanks Joe and Anywayz, but unfortunately i could win my final flip.

I may try this again at some point, as i've got a couple of weeks off work soon and could dedicate a bit more time into it. Possibly see just how badly i run ove the course of a whole week!
