Glad i was able to salvage my session in my last tourn tho and actually put myself in the black for the day. Want to thank every1 for their support, if ppl liked this maybe ill do it next sunday. Any feedback would be great. Gnight p5

  2. Good grind imo, those things are variance-fests anyway.
  3. haha, cool. i guess you bricked in all but 2 or 3 tourneys?
  4. If my math is right you made less than a sweatshop worker in Vietnam for your appx 10 hours of work.

  5. Either your math is wrong or you have overvalued the sweatshop workers, actually maybe with the demise of the American dollar you're right.

you sir have obviously never worked in a sweatshop. if a sweatshop worker made 55 in a day, they'd retire and live like kings.

also, i hope your post isnt some sort of attempt to make him feel bad about his day. obviously you can't make money every day, and he bricked out in basically everything and still made 50 bucks. if I make 50 bucks in a miserable day, im happy as shit lol

  9. 50 playin poker > 50 made in a sweat shop, resturant, retail store, etc etc etc. If i can make 8-10$ an hour playin poker it's much better than any job you will ever have IMO

  12. Double Dave Great Finish on the Bodog 6 K

I read most of your posts and visited with you a little online on the 6K on Bodog for some hand advice.

I feel that if you eliminated 60% of the MTTs you played and played the higher value ones only your results would have been much better.

Money Management is the key to gambling success wether it be Poker Craps Blackjack etc.

Your skills seem more suited for a LIVE mtt format as you like to go after the blinds a lot in late button and three off position.

Newbies online except maybe " Bodog" late in the tournaments tend to play out of position and marginal hands.

When your playing events with so many players that can just click on another MTT for 20 or 30 dollars they are badbeating you by calling any marginal raise your odds of success are much less.

If you reduced the amount of MTTS to maybe 40% of what you played your return would have been around $600 for the day or around 50 an hour which is above the standard $30 per hour in a good cash game on small levels.

I can multitask as can you but I find that by only playing hands and position your losing the overall reactions of players as you cant be watching all the screens at the same time.

I do much better focused on one or two mtts at a time rather than shear volume as I am always looking for If < P the Q > reactive results from players.

You also are not allowing yourself enough time to research players history in mtts by playing so many.

Over all I would eliminate the rebuys and play the garauntees only if your going to do multiple tourneys as an outside observer looking in this will allow you to focus on the game not just the cards.

(Example the BODOG was your last MTT I believe) and you were focused and played a great game.)

Your game is strong and your aggressive. Again I felt you play more hands than I would or most of the books recommend in position.

I believe all though you were running over the table on BODOG you might have gotten looked up more on the other sites due to lack of player experience and shear volume of bad play.

Keep up the good work and thanks for your input.

    Clovus

P.S. hope to see you on Bodog later today.

I Will play the 4 K double stack at 2 Pm and maybe one later tonight. The 32+ Turbo or maybe the 5 k and 6K or even the 15 K garauntee if I cash in the 2PM 4 K DS on Bodog.
  13. $1 won is better than $3 earned. Next Sunday +3k.....
  14. thanks clovus for the long response. I definately think you have a good point in that i would play better and more focused if i played fewer. The only issue with that is that alot of MTTs come down to a single hand/race and the more im in the more options ill have by the end of my session. I basically spread my wealth do some gambling and make most of my money at the end of my session when i can focus on the one or more that i have a big stack in. Next sunday im going to be a little more selective with the tourns i play so that yeah ill have fewer going but still a good enough amount to essentially try to overcome variance a lil. Hopefully next sunday i can run a lil better too :)
