  4. I heard from a pretty politically savy guy that bush and his crew piggybacked this latest regulations with some enviromental stuff which the Democrats would want to overturn pronto----can anyone confirm this?

with that ^ and this dead hand Act of 1996...seems this poker regulation would be at the top of the list since it's connected with the enviroment

Per everything i read in the politico article plus the olbermann piece, it likes the the best chance they have of using the Dead hand law would be to make ita single up or down vote on EVERYTHING they want to reject as there will not be time to vot eregulation by regulation. Basically, one party line vote to overturn every piece of shit that the bushies tried to stuff down our throats. And if they do a single up/down vote on a whole bunch of stuff, they won't do it with any chance of having it fail.

So basically people need to jkeep the pressure up and make sure this gets included. See teh PPA thread and write/call whoever you're supposed to

sigh, my views are pretty much all republican and I am far from an Obama supporter besides hoping he isn't anti online gambling.

kind of sucks I'll have to support all the regulations the Democrats will over turn JUST cus I support online poker.

good thing I dont pay much attention to politics anyways ;]

  7. I think everybody should read this article. I now sort of understand what Bush is trying to do with all these regulations he is passing and how they can be overturned somewhat easily by Obama.
