Dealing with tilt

    Hi, I was wondering how people deal with tilt when they play. I had my first major cash the other week and now every time I get dealt a monster I get beat by the worst suck outs it seems and nothing goes my way anymore. Any advice?

    once u realize its going to happen and it always happens, you become numb to it. it barely even bothers me anymore. unless its like a 1 outer or something

    Just Gotta learn to let it all go. I always try and remind myself that I winning is impossible without losing you just cant let it alter your game. Try and step away from time to time it helps alot.

    the more you play the less you will tilt in my experience. like it was mentioned before, you get numb to it. if it gets really bad, move down in levels until you are playing well again or just take a break from poker for a while. it happens to the best of us.

    The best advice I think is take breaks... Anytime you're tilting or start to feel like nothing you do can help you win.. Take a day or two or sometimes even a week off to clear your head... It's helped me...

    go into a micro sng, 1 table or multi your choice, and try to to even up the score by rr everything ...... usually calms me down

    lol, tilt tilt tilt,,,, nothing like busting out of tourny's before the reg. is even complete, twice last week that happened... just sign up for more tourny's and play a lot... variance will go the other way....

    there was an article written by "gidders" a while back on this which was very good. Don't remember it exactly, but basically...take something you are really good at(other than poker) and spend the weekend doing that. Forget about poker for a few days and just go dominate at something else. Or take a nice relaxing vacation with no internet and keep poker off your mind for a few days.

    Once you can shut it out you will come back to the tables playing great. DO NOT try to get off tilt by playing more. That is the worst thing you can do because your game will get worse without even realizing it and you will just tilt more and more. Talking from experience....give poker a rest for a bit and I promise it will be all better when you come back to it.

    Best solution for mtt/sng tilt is to openshove every hand on remaining tables until you bust afaik.
